Helson makes some amazing watches. I actually have a Sharkmaster 45 Titanium and a 45 Steel. The Titanium is much lighter but still 225g as opposed to the Steels 342g. They have the same style bracelets as the smaller Sharkdivers. They also have the Miyota 9015 now. I have the White full lume steel version, full lume Dials are really cool, and Helson does a great job. super luma comes in a bunch of colors but it’s rare to see most of them. I know Borealis used white Super lumanova on the Porto’s Cale, that was the only time a have ever seen white lume.

No foolin', when I saw you pull that out of the box in the live bit a couple days ago, I went out to Helson and looked for that one -- didn't see the orange, but I saw a dark teal colored one (it's darker in real life than in the pictures) and pulled the trigger. I'm wearing it now. Just got back from my watchmaker's because the linked bracelet is a complete BEAR to resize -- not standard screw pins -- there's one screw end for the pin and and a tiny screw-cap in the other side. You need to do the 2-screwdriver thing to get them out. There's three dinky micro-adjusts, but it has the slide-out extension. It's freaking heavy and my watchmaker suggested that I was getting into weightlifting. Miyota movement hacks and hand-winds. I'm pleased with it. I'll probably wear it for a few days and see how it goes.

I've got the 42mm version in the same colorway. Love it. Big and chunky and wears more like a 44mm. Gonna wear it tomorrow for Halloween 🎃

45 mm... thats a lot, Especially with the lugs.... Must have been inspired by the Marathon watch band. The colour schema is very nice! Excellent lume!

They are one-way valves that slowly release helium & other gasses from inside the watch. If you do commercial saturation diving, you pre-pressurize inside a pressure vessel aboard ship for days before you dive, with an air-helium mix. It saturates your blood and body tissues so that they "push back" against the water pressure at the depth you're working at. Helium is small enough to get past the gaskets in the watch and so the air inside the watch is also pressurized with helium & diving gasses, too. Anyhow, that vessel you live in is connected to a diving bell that's lowered like an elevator to the depth where you are working. When you are done working your shift, you get back into the bell and go back to the pressure vessel aboard ship to warm up and eat and rest and all that. When your job is over, the pressure in the vessel is very very slowly lowered so that you can decompress and the helium can leave your body. Now, that whole time you are decompressing (over days) you could just leave the crown on your watch open, but the pressure vessel still has a lot of salty water vapor in it because living people sweat and breathe. If that stuff gets in your watch, it's toast. So, the helium escape valve allows you to keep your watch tight but allow the helium and air mix to get out of it without the crystal exploding or the case deforming or the gaskets popping or letting damp air inside. That's all there is to it.

How the hell, do you test a 2000M watch!

Ralph Taylor pressurize it with a static (hydraulic) pressure of 200 bar. There are many labs that do hydraulic testing for these kinds of pressures. A normal scuba dive tank needs to be also regularly tested by putting the cylinder under that hydraulic pressure.
