Nice video! I just got the Helsport Sarek Superlight 2+, but it's very similar, so this was super relevant for me as well.

As always a straight forward, no nonsense, to the point filem of what seems to me to be a tent well worth having in your kit. Keep promising myself to drop by the store next time I am by your neck of the woods Mike. This time for sure. Be well, stay safe..

Hi Jacob, a really good tent, spacious and very light for the size. Still my number 1 trekking tent. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

Great stuff, helps me narrow down what I am looking for. This one is high on the list now. I guess you'd recommend a 3 man for 2 people?
@onthefly47114 жыл бұрын
As long as you don´t really, really love your hiking partner (and even if...) I would always take a 3 P tent for 2 P. :) I accept only 10% less of the matresses width I share with my wife at home as minimum space in a tent.

Hi Marty, great instructional presentation buddy, so cheers for that. Could you confirm if the tent is pitchable with the inner already attached to the rain-fly?
@tonycameron60164 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes can be pitched all together.

Why these tents are not available for sale anymore?
@ScotsWildcamper4 жыл бұрын
Good video. I thinking about buying this just 2 questions does the footprint attach to the tent and how's the headroom.
@tonycameron60164 жыл бұрын
Yes the footprint does attach but loosely. I don't bother attaching it and fold back the vestibule area onto the sleeping area. I am 183cm tall and have enough head room sat at the taller section of the tent.

Why not leave the inner tent attached to the outer fly so when you put the fly up, the tent goes up with it? Also, what is the difference between this and the Loften series. They look the same.
@perjonsegard2655 жыл бұрын
Loften has a more sloping roof over the sleeping area, otherwise they are the same.
@perbhn69864 жыл бұрын
We, the norwegians, we always leave the inner tent attached to the outer fly the whole season. No need to separate them.
@mengsquare75613 жыл бұрын
@@perbhn6986 doesn’t the inner tent get wet from condensation if it’s attached to the fly all the time? Not shaking the fly dry before packing?
@perbhn69863 жыл бұрын
In Scandinavia we usually keep the inner and the fly sheet connected during the entire hike. Some of us for the whole season. This is the advantages we have with "the Scandinavian design" Easy setup and when you get inside it is all dry. No leakage from a inner mesh tent while you are putting up the fly sheet during a rein fall. It is also common to use a footprint to avoid condensation. This design is used by Helsport, Hilleberg and Fjellreven, the top brands we have here in Scandinavia.

Great review thank you. Happy to use a 2 man on my own, this looks a serious contender :)

I've had this tent for around two years now and I can't fault it. This is the 'camp' version which has an extra pole to extend the vestibule to give bags of room for gear and cooking - fantastic in bad weather and winter. If that isn't important then there is a lighter 2 pole version with smaller vestibule (which can be fully rolled back) that's about 250g lighter. We've got those listed on our website - www.tamarackoutdoors.co.uk. Thanks for watching, appreciate the feedback.

have you looked at the new fjallraven serries? im also looking for a new 2 man tent and i really love the abisko shape and abisko endurance i am waiting for some good reviews and will buy one this spring
@tamarackoutdoors8 жыл бұрын
I've no experience of the fjallraven tents, so couldn't offer an opinion. We're potentially looking at MSR tents again, maybe next year.

Nice tent 👍
@tamarackoutdoors9 жыл бұрын
Cheers +Tony Eden. It's a firm favourite. Having a 2 man tent for mostly myself felt extravagant but the weight penalty vs space is negligible. Riding out bad weather is no problem, bags of room inside and easily cook in the vestibule, dry out kit etc... fantastic.

I went on line to look for this and everything is in swedish...can I buy this somewhere in the states? thanks
@tamarackoutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Hi. The tent is listed in English on our website at www.tamarackoutdoors.co.uk. We've sold several Helsport tents to the USA and elsewhere in the world so I think it will be unlikely that you will find a retailer in the USA selling Helsport. We'd be more than happy to help so please contact us at sales@tamarackoutdoors.co.uk for details on pricing and shipping. Thanks for watching.

Hi, do you have stock?
@tamarackoutdoors7 жыл бұрын
Hi, we do try to hold stock of the Fjellheimen Superlight Camp but this is a popular tent so sometimes we need to order from Helsport. Turn around from Helsport is quite quick so please contact us with your required date and we will let you know an expected delivery. Thanks for watching.

Great video, but sorry, mate - this isn't a tent for two persons. It's for three persons. It's a Norwegian tent, and it weighs 3,6 kilos. Great tent though, but not very light for a "two persons tent". Best regards from Norway.
