TT has to do a better job with their hip belt tensioner. Its a pain in the rear to tighten the belt with the pack on. This is kind of crucial since this is the first strap you tighten to adjust the pack properly. All backpacks should have this feature. I believe they overlooked this simple concept. It wouldnt take nothing but a light metal stay stitched onto the sides of the hip belt to fix it. Also, I wish TT made the pack in a S/M and a L/XL for torso sizes. I am 5'7" and the pack barely fits properly, even adjusted at the smallest setting. Other than that, I'm glad I bought the pack and can't wait to go out with it in a couple weeks up the mountain. Cheers!

Excellent clip! Just got the same lavvu and I'm wondering how long the cord with the loop and knot are (in centimeters) that you use with the disc in the beginning of the clip? Is it possible to buy the lavvu disc? I'm from Sweden 😊

Awesome little storm lantern. We had them when I was a kid back in the 60s on the farm. We were always losing power but the farm doesn't stop so you need these. I remember the big red ones we had called "crescent" or something like that. And today we use them on the beach at night on low tides to dig for clams! Priceless

They can run on paraffin but not inside. If using it outdoors, then paraffin, kerosene, lamp oil etc is fine. They actually run really well on diesel too. But indoors only quality lamp oil should be used. The loop on top of the lamp is only for removing the globe, not for hanging it from. I’ve had 24 hours of burn time from quality paraffin from a single tank. Trimming the wick is also vitally important. Just trimming the corners off or ideally cutting it to a curve makes the flame a much better shape.
@SarahlabyrinthLHC

How often should you trim the wick?
@stephencresswell4760
@stephencresswell4760 2 жыл бұрын
@@SarahlabyrinthLHC when it starts to break down and loose it’s shape. You get a better, brighter flame if it’s trimmed regular so keep on top of it. Replacement wicks are cheap.

Great video. I received my HH Deluxe Explorer Zip Asym (mouthful) last week. I also ordered the larger hex fly. I thought the fly was designed to be attached to the ridge-line via the two becket hitches. Do you find it better to hang the fly separately, above the hammock suspension? Thanks kindly!
@1979Spica
@1979Spica 3 жыл бұрын
I have a different Hennessy (Safari Deluxe Zip XXL) but it came with the hex fly. I prefer to attach my fly directly to the hooks on the hammock line. The hammock is always protected by the snakeskins, so if it gets setup in the rain, the hammock itself will not get wet regardless. After the straps are wrapped around the tree, i use 2 rings to attach and tension the main suspension line at head level quickly. Then i attach the fly onto the hooks and tension them. Then i tie down the 4 points, according to wind direction and desired coverage. If i don’t need the hammock right away, I leave it there in the snakeskins and I have a basecamp set up. I can cook, and stash gear under the tarp right away if needed. When I need the hammock, it only takes 2 minutes to remove the snakeskins and stake down the hammock lines.

Great video, but sorry, mate - this isn't a tent for two persons. It's for three persons. It's a Norwegian tent, and it weighs 3,6 kilos. Great tent though, but not very light for a "two persons tent". Best regards from Norway.
