Ending is good. Meera's soul merged with her beloved God. All the physical things are left behind whether it was a piece of jewelery that she received from Rana as a token of his affection for her or ektara that she received from Sant Raidas. Ordinary people just thought she died but it was liberation of her soul from the bondage of a physical form.

They could not understand her devotion that is why they suffered. If they would have understood or felt the same bliss she was experiencing in her absolute love for Lord Krishna they would have enjoyed her company like in heaven. However, they were lost in the wars. It was easy for a royal family to get Rana married to another suitable woman and leave Meerabai alone. But apparently they didn't do it. When a person man or a woman rises to that spiritual conscience we have to really accept them the way they are. One such example is Ma Anandamayi of West Bengal. Please read about her. She was also a realized soul of modern time.

Meera did not attain Shyam Lagan in a day or in this life. As law of Geeta, the soul takes birth time and again after death. All karam done by soul are carried forward by soul along with it to its next birth as per Geeta.This is 100 % true what is stated in Geeta., this is as per my experience true too .
