The site of one of the better known, and perhaps the largest, land-based treasures ever recovered or accessed in the US is in the State of New Mexico, now on White Sands Missile Range (*No Public Access). For the full story see the Gold House series of books - this little vid is just intended to give you some geographic orientation and a few tidbits that may or may not come up elsewhere.

My grandmother Evelyn Martine was the last Chiricahua Apache prisoner of war born in captivity in Ft Sill, Oklahoma in 1912. The Chiricahua were POWs for 27 years released in 1913 and a majority of the Chiricahua moved to Mescalero in 1913.

We have tales of our great great grandfather Victorio raiding and obtaining gold, which Apaches saw as worthless. My other great great grandfather was Mangas Coloradas and am also great great grandson of Chiricahua Apache US Scouts Charles Martine Sr and Paul Guydelkon Sr.

Excellent! That was great, to see the topography like that, I didn't realise the undergound system travelled beyond the base of Victorio Peak and that Bloody Hands was not directly at the Peak site. As an aside I saw somewhere (might have been an Amazon review) where Mr Delonas talks about a series on the whole VP ordeal, I wonder if that will come to fruition... would be amazing. But again loved the video, thanks for making it!

@ncf1 Really glad you enjoyed it. Takes longer to put together these than you might think. Regarding underground structures, there's a lot of legends of underground rivers, caves that go clear through or connect mountain ranges in the area and all kinds of crazy stuff. There are a lot of caves, but I have not been in any huge ones, personally - other than Carlsbad, which is about two mountain ranges over. I keep hearing there's some sort of new production, but have not seen any trailers or hard more, yet. One can hope.

Some think that this was but one of the 7 houses of the sun/gold. One of my other vids goes into that a bit (kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2nUop6PYsSae8U). Geronimo peak right next door may be another one (of the three, to the east). Caballos may be the center one. The West ones, I will keep to myself ;)

@@timpage5021 Can you explain more? Why would Noss and the group focus so much on the Peak if it was without merit? What about Fiege and Berlett? Seriously curious as to your theory. SOME part of this saga and associated tales are lies, deception, misdirection, etc. but I am not sure which.

@lostadamsgold
@lostadamsgold Жыл бұрын
Hi Matt, no worries, and thanks. Granite peak is over in the Caballos, to the West. At lest the one that I'm familiar with. Lots of lore around that and the immediate area. It is south of Burbank canyon. That's a place you can go visit, though the little outfit at the base is private land. Old timer buddy of mine says the original ruins there were extremely old (not the rock cabin), but I've never been on that private part to get my own opinion on that.

Well friend, it may be hard to see through your cloud of negativity and hate, but I've been to the basin in person, know many people who tread there before either of us were born, and have a lot of information on this particular topic. I think Google Earth is great. I use it to find many things - things I go hike to & verify. But yeah, why use basically the best tool available?

Hi there. I am not sure what a Hand of God site is. I googled it and a Terry Carter vid came up. I think that the guy is just saying a "thumb" of rock - so something with a major peak and a minor peak right next door? He gives some examples.

I know the author of the books from which a lot of the material for the show will be drawn: The Gold House. Great books. Chock full of transcripts and receipts and all sorts of stuff, and the author has a close relationship with the surviving Noss family. I suspect that the show will be mostly a moving-picture version of the truth as presented there. May be some new photos or interviews with the family, etc. so will still likely be worth a watch.

Up that way, the only things I can think of are Leon Trabuco's gold mesa and Madame Barcelo's lost packtrain. Could be related to Tres Piedras lost gold bars - hard to tell exactly which pins you are talking about. I have lots of pins dropped all over!

The native locals of the time did not care a whole lot about gold, at least not anything more than any other ritual material or object. The whole story of the origin(s) of all that stuff crammed into the Peak is the biggest part of the mystery, to me!

Any gold was put in one place, we used to stash fabric, dried meat, and mesquite beans or sumac or other stuff that could sit for months in small caves throughout the T or C, Silver City, Lordsburg, and Columbus areas into Mexico for we were always on the move.
