HEMI Swap Jeep Renegade pt. 31 Starting on the Interior!

In this part of the Hemi Swap Jeep Renegade build we finally move on to the interior! We start with some color matched spray on bedliner, add some sound deadener, install the HVAC air box, and test fit the steering wheel. This is a huge step forward with this build, and it's getting so close to finally starting for the first time.

Mike....... Ah man I'm so stoked for you! Its getting closer and closer & I can hear it in your voice how eager you are to have this on the road and driving..... YES!!!! But, if I can make a suggestion, before you go too far... welding causes splatter and could start fires so my suggestion would be to finish the rear floor and patch panels on the firewall before you have to back up and remove the air box, steering wheel or wiring harness from things getting damaged as that would delay everything further!! Im with you Bud! Wishing you the best!!! AND saving the best for last..... that air box scan and cut was FREAKING GENIUS!!!!!! Seriously!!!

Thanks for the advice, and good looking out! For the firewall I plan on making parch panels that will bolt or clip in. They'll most likely be 3D printed in ABS. For the rear, I planned on making removable panels so I can get access to everything from the top side. This is pretty much the same thing I did for my HHR Panel that I built independent rear suspension for. It'll take some welding along the edges for L brackets, but I picked up a spot welder for that. I should definitely pick up some welding blankets just in case. On the plus side, I did get the wiring harness laid out and it looks like it'll mostly fit. And that 3D scanner is so much more useful than I was ever expecting, and lets you solve all the problems before ever doing any actual work, it's crazy!

Mike you might look at a product called Lizard skin it sprays on they make two diffrent sprays one for sound and one has ceramic particles in it for heat control. It can be painted over.

that's my spare renegade for taking measurements and stuff. I'll be using it to mock up the new widebody kit, and I've used it as reference for the dash already. I picked it up wrecked for $2,600 so it's not that bad.

@@HEMIGADE ok, ok, I was kinda like... You know, for a second. Nice build brother, from all the builds that I'm following this is the one that I'm rooting the most. The HEMI engine it's pretty underrated for turbo, my stepfather had a Lincoln Continental with a TT HEMi engine in it and that thing pulled like 1,200hp without any problems and it was reliable too. Unfortunately he had to sold that car which it was a project between him and my brother and since then I have always looked up for HEMI swaps and before I die I'm swapping a HEMI in a 1964 Lincoln Continental. Meanwhile this is that next HEMI swap I'm following 🫶🏽
