If the stitch is not grabbing the fabric then the machine is not set correctly. Each fabric requires an adjustment to the setting so the machine will grab enough fabric but not too much. The dial that says "more or less" will help get the setting in the right place to grab the right amount of fabric consistently. Thank you for the question.
