You can use it as toilet paper too you'll save the rainforest but not your butthole. So what I understand is that it needs CO2 to grow so CO2 is good for the plants so we need to be making more CO2 to grow healthy plant. Who knew going green means requires more CO2 atleast 🌲 will be greaner

This thing is amazing, construction with concrete blocks produces a huge amount of CO2, being used by almost every country it takes up a significant portion of our entire carbon footprint. If hemp replaced even a small portion such as 30% the carbon negative nature could actually counteract some of the emissions created by the rest of the 70% due to construction.

Now this is interesting stuff. How does it do in floods though as one person asked. I mean if it's only fire resistant that's well and good. No need to put any fire retardants... 🤔 If it's strong enough to withstand typhoons and hurricanes then that's great. 👍

Hemp building materials are perfect considering the construction industry (like concrete is a huge one) makes more emissions than air travel does. If you go find a 100 year old house in the UK you might find it has a thatched roof made from straw, and insulation made from sheep's wool and straw was common too and yep even hemp fibres.

Now with the new trade agreement we should farm all this with hemp and create our own homegrown blocks for our houses then expand to other towns or the world or make deals with both countries to pass on the knowledge, its a multi purpose plant from the earth like canabis

A house built with hemp blocks also absorbs alot of Co2 gaz, a normal house could take up minimum 6.5 tons of Co2, also the material isolates the humidity & distributes it back in the house for 20 hours making you save alot of energy, compared to normal houses which doesn’t store the heat in the walls but let them out directly

@@lucystephanieproperties because its been illegal for many years... kinda makes it hard to market ;0) so not exactly a turning point for a research firm! but its becoming legal worldwide! and about time. Oil companies are a clue a few control that. Cannabis sativa / hemp Plant = anyone can grow and process it. If packaging and compressed wood from hemp , paper and biofuels. textiles, insulation which are not a new thing would mean alot more jobs and the distribution of wealth would also be better for everyone. Not to mention better for the environment as well! including bee's and you know what bees are good at right? oil doesn't do anyof this for the environment at all! Hemp doesn't need pesticides either :0) which are brutal to all life! in the long term! so win win! for the masses. Vote it up, get involved insist we have this for all countries! its healthier both in use and consumption. Omega 3 6 9 etc go look up all the compounds in it as well! and what it can do for live stock as well! Omega 3 = brain food for all mammals including us! Last time i Checked oil doesnt help there either lol. Why do you think there was so much fuss around it? because its bad for you? or the fact its very good for many reasons and no one should ever control it just for cash! its THE plant on this planet! a work of biological genius!

@Blackmark52

@@nopeninja8883 "majority of houses are replaced now or renovated every 20 yrs" Where do you get those statistics. They sound extremely low and I can't imagine a house with a 20 year shelf life : that's the life of a traditional mortgage. The basic building blocks of a home cannot be replaced or renovated, short of rebuilding. I would expect all structural materials in a new home to last 100 years or more.
@nopeninja8883
@nopeninja8883 5 жыл бұрын
@@Blackmark52 okay.. with the big push for updating styles, electrical, furnaces, appliances, roofs etc yes its now. Used to be 50-70 for a full life of a house but in the current culture of flipping/upgrading/knockdown & rebuilds its knocked that down a lot. The renovation craze means that even major structural parts of houses are changed. The bricks he showed from what ive read are cheaper and can be replaced if need be. Builders rule of thumb is if its rated for 100 yr lifespan, the average will be a little under that. Unfortunately most people are not as diligent with house maintenance as they were before. As its an hr burn time rated im hoping that they can use these to replace houses lost in wild fire prone areas. I saw a great demo last year sometime and looked into this stuff. If you google it youll find the specs.
@Blackmark52
@Blackmark52 5 жыл бұрын
@@nopeninja8883 "the current culture of flipping/upgrading/knockdown & rebuilds" You seem to be conflating the time a home can be expected to retain market value and need renovations and such with the life expectancy of the building materials used. And that doesn't seem to be a particularly good idea when the materials you're talking about are foundational. I'm not saying that the material could never be viable, but I would never take out a 20 year mortgage to buy a house with a shelf life of a mere 40 years.
@nopeninja8883
@nopeninja8883 5 жыл бұрын
@@Blackmark52 erm no i was bundling them in together as the houses built in say the 50's were considered 100 yr homes. Most have needed upgrades to major walls supports etc. I live in one that needs some structural upgrades. It happens. If someone says its 100 year home, and you maintain it perfectly yeah you might get that. But most wont. People diy or get unqualified labour for their houses instead of getting licensed contractors. Or say random acts of nature, pests etc. Look into the construction issues in ontario alone. Lack of skilled and trained contractors have left homes wrecked and unlivable. Forget the fact that we are not designing for upcoming weather issues we know are coming.
