Even though i don't intend on building this mask specifically, the tips and techniques you used throughout the video are great. I had no idea you could get such a realistic wood texture with an exacto knife and a dremel, props to you on that one! Also,thank you for taking the time to put english subtitles, it is not my main language so even though i understand almost everything fine, some specific terms can get quite tricky and subs are very helpful. All the different tips, explanations,angles,etc, made for a high quality how-to, and I'm looking forward to your future videos and how-to's. I saw you mentioned the psycho mask from bordelands in another comment, i'd love to see your take on that mask.
@HendoArt6 жыл бұрын
That you so much for the feedback! I have actually just gotten to know a couple people who are deaf who explained how much of their community is left out without subtitles. KZbin actually has a great system for typing them in! I'm glad it helps for second languages too (I never thought about that)! I would definitely be down for a psycho mask, since I plan on doing Maya in the summer too!

Question, is the black primer a requirement? Or would it be safe to just paint straight on the Plasti-Dip?

It's Def not required, but will make shading easier since it puts black paint in the cracks and corners and stuff

Question: How durable is this mask? I'm looking to make a mask to wear as both decoration and protection in boffering, a hobby similar to larping where I'll sometimes get hit in the face with foam weapons. Do you think the structure would withstand that?
@HendoArt9 ай бұрын
In that case you'd probably want to add a topcoat of something that will harden the surface. I think it would at least stay on your head okay. I think it would be fine in most larping cases (ive only done one LARP weekend), but probably not if your face is the main thing getting hit all the time?

Not sure if you'll see this anymore but I wanted to ask for help. I tried to print it on regular printing paper to make a paper prototype and for some reason I think it's coming out too small for my face ??? Mostly the mouth part appears very short. Did i print it wrong or did i need to rescale it first? Cause i can't seem to get it fitting for my face atm. Note: I'm terrible with printer setting so it could be my fault. (Also I'm not familiar with inches, Etc cause i use the European metric system) The biggest size paper i can print on is A4 btw forgot to add that.
