Kenny Wallace you know as well as anyone that has followed Nascar when it was southern motor racing and everybody bent the rules and when you quit bending you start losing. I am 83 years old and have watched Nascar since the 50s it is hard to believe that Nascar has screwed racing up this bad.

We all know Hendrick will get a slap on the wrist. If this was let's say, RFK and they modified a part, they would get a 100-point deduction and a fine... oh wait. Also, I know some people said that this part didn't even make it to the race so they should be punished, but I would argue that doesn't matter. They were on the car for a reason, hendrick has been screwing with them louvers... Assuming that they have been modified. Meaning they planned on using them. The amount this specifically affected the car shouldn't even come into question. If the rule is that they can't touch the parts, then it's pretty simple

Without knowing more, this seems to fall under 14.5D and 14.5A of the Cup Rule Book for which RFK was penalized ...100 driver points, ..and crew chief fined $100k and suspended the next 4 races. Fair huh. Makes for terrible racing and huge wrecks. I know a certain percentage of people love seeing wrecks and cheer when the drivers walk away. Myself, I like watching cars go fast. Best drivers in the best built, best prepped and best driven cars. That's what makes Dirt Super Late Models such a great show to watch. Some drivers will walk away with the race on a certain night.
