It really sucks a voice like Kevin is not too far from leaving the sport. Not sure who or anyone could fill his shoes on being honest and transparent about the sport. He loves NASCAR but that’s what makes him willing to call them out. Not many people with the backbone to do that left. Here’s the the real ones like Kevin, and not the spineless and non-personality drivers of today

@austinsanders6475
@austinsanders6475 2 жыл бұрын
@@bobbafett1849 I think we’ve moved past that. Especially since most sponsors are B2B now. I think what is mostly causing lack of personalities now are the guys that have grown up racing since they were 6 years old. They don’t have a personality because they never needed one. They never had to grind or struggle. Jumping in a cup car is the same as them jumping in their go cart when they were 10. Kevin came up the hard way and a lot of passion stems from that. Our best personalities are all guys like that. Kyle Busch, Chastain, Larson

Hey Jon this is Jeff Yoder the ol'broke down scooter tramp (exbiker) and I pretty much agree with your comments about Harvick and he's earned the respect that most of the drivers give him and the fact that he dared to take on the Nascar front office and that's the kind of veteran move that has earned him that respect

1:13 I get the strange feeling that he's being facetious ( sarcastic). And rightfully so. I'm no Harvick fan, but he's right and I'll be rooting for him to get the change Nascar needs (PR related stuff, safety stuff, and car reliability). In my opinion (been watching nascar and 1988), nascar needs to completely overhaul the rules and racing formats. It's gotten really bad. The racing quality is not even close to early 90s early 00s. The cars were powerful, it took a real hoss to get those cars going around the track. I'm not saying go backwards on safety, but at least compensate for it. Make the cars heavier, make the drivers have to lift (and brake on larger tracks) in the turns, make tires that only last a fifth or fourth (25% or 20%) which will require crews to pit for tires more. Also, create a rule that states that under the stage caution, cars can only get rights or lefts and 1 can of fuel, otherwise they must pit under green for the rest. If they break the rule, they lose a lap. Here's a fun one that I just made up, so I'm not at all being serious. Make 3 finish lines on the front stretch. The middle one (the main, original line) would be for the start and restarts. During the race, up to 25 laps to go, the fans would vote online on which finish line to use, and the drivers and teams wouldn't know which line won. So, if they have a race to the checkered flag, then it would be revealed on TV 10 seconds before they get there. Not too sure that exact plan would work, but something similar might. Just spit balling...

Master wants to get the safety stuff right to begin with and they said changes had been made in testing even few years ago after Byron's crash. NASCAR wasn't expecting your normal hits to the wall to be an issue with the new car. They focused on like Newman's crash with the development of the new car. NASCAR this year after listening to drivers plus data started testing and what not of changes for next year and that was before Kurt's concussion that they started

As far as Ross goes , I recall when All the driver's complained about Earnhardt Sr and his bump and run . Now everybody does it . I've watched you " keven " routinely take short cuts across the infield if there's not a double yellow line . NASCAR needs excitement now that they don't support the best drivers anymore . Choose a driver a bend the rules so they can win is limited on how much excitement it can generate . Fans cheer the officials now days , not the drivers LoL . OH , did you see them spot that trash at the perfect time " AWESOME " !!!!! Tell kenslouski to stay on the track when everybody pits , I'm going to Call a caution , because I have to pee and he will come out the leader .
