Having worked with a large number of folks from The Philippines over several years while in Alaska I found a deep respect for most of them except when I was in Dutch Harbor. Even then I found a strong sense of unity & community was central to their lives. While studying WWII I learned of the impressive bravery & mutual respect between the American troops & Philippine resistance fighters. God bless The Philippines & her many fine people.

Interesting take on the battle, I'll give them that. In reality the US won the battle and general Luna was forced to retreat. 12 days later he tried to attack Manila again on the 22nd of February and was forced to retreat again. The US only lost 6 troops in the Battle of Calo'ocan.

Aided by a surprise attack, American troops successfully stormed the city. It was a decisive one day victory that ended after several hours of fighting. Luna and the surviving members of his detachment retreated and tried a counter attack on the city of Manila on February 22nd. That was a completely different battle however and has no basis on the battle of Caloocan.
