@Thebeautiful11 It is Rick, but at the time they didn't know whether it was a boy or a girl. Eric believed (or hoped?) it was a girl. That's why he referred to the baby as 'she'.

KKL was pregnant with her first son here. That is why I belive that they wrote her and Eric together. At the time Ridge was still married to Caroline and with KKL pregnant in real life they needed her with someone.
