I have used henna for about five years or more, and I can't imagine my hair regime without it. Yes, it coats hair and acts as a protective shield--especially good for high porosity hair. I find that you can condition and it does absorb conditioners, but I find when I first use it I have to use more conditioner because the hair is coated, but after a few shampoos, I notice that the moisture attaches to the hair faster and deeper. Henna revived my hair!

Thanks for the video. I've been using henna for over 3 years now. I started when I was transitioning and continued after I chopped off my relaxed ends. I love it. I do it once a month without fail. I know that henna has benefited my hair by making it stronger, healthier and shinier. I'm almost at mid-back length now. :)

Ok, now that I got that out! Thank you so much! You're a life saver for my hair! One month in beast mode, and I can see near an inch worth of new growth in a grey patch, and the kicker is the grey area is significantly less grey, and darker! I can literally see darker roots growing in on the red henna hair, except a smaller patch of grey

Curly Proverbz Your welcome! I started using Henna because of your channel. I have had good results with NATURAL HENNA. It makes me enjoy my hair a lot more. Being natural is not easy but Henna really dose smooth out your curls. They are less frizzy. I use black tea with my Henna because my hair is dark brown :)

Well I tested my henna on my hair but OOPS should have tested it on the gray section of my hair that was also previously colored. LOL my gray area turned a deep brass orange color. Anyway I saw on another youtube channel where someone had added Indigo to their henna and another one use the Indigo separately. I've been using your hair growth oil that has the henna and fenugreek in it and my hair looks great. thank you so much for all the wonderful videos.

Henna does change the hair pattern because it makes the hair stronger and hence "stretches" it out. But oils can do that too becsuee the hair strands become stronger. My 2 year old has slightly curly hair and because of the regular oiling her hair is growing out a bit straighter.

I am so tired of people bad mouthing Henna! It is their lack of knowledge of their hair type, and what can be added to it to benefit your hair type ! L'oreal has developed a henna color treatment, because people are demanding more natural options, it was a European video I saw where, the henna was carefully measured and applied to a client's hair a medium warm brown! There is oils and herbs you can add for your particular hair type, do your research before, you purchase!

hokwinita, Allaysia, and Tiffany Thomas adding henna to my routine has been a game changer! In 6 months I've done 2 full 100% henna treatments and several henna glosses and I've noticed a big difference. There's less breakage, more length, and curls are a bit looser. I also do protective styling for 3 weeks and only wear it out for about a week. I highly recommend it. Thanks ladies! :-)

Thanks for this vid CP! Do you know how porous your hair was before you started using the henna? Mine is highly porous and I am hoping it will help although I have only just started on the henna journey. As for "conventional" stylists, I have a real bee in my bonnet with those and could rant about what they say for ages! My favourite most recent one is that I shouldn't put oils on my hair because they just sit on top, even though I explained this seals water in, she said I needed to use a "real moisturiser". Then she went on to heat damage my hair! :(

Hi Curly Proverbz!! I absolutely love your channel and I'm also now following you on Pinterest! After watching this video, I decided to take the plunge and did a full-fledge henna mask. My hair is very thick 3c/4a and low porosity. I got my henna from Hennasooq and I blended it with green tea and Tresemme conditioner and left it in my hair overnight (approx 10 hours) and I absolutely loved the color result and it covered up my gray nicely but I probably should have started with a gloss bcz for the first week it was a tad dry but after deep conditioning it 3x the first week, it's now been remedied! I've noticed, however, that my bentonite clay masks feel strange on my hair now and my hair isn't reacting the same way, no idea why!! I'm assuming it's the henna coating?! I want to continue with henna but will prolonged use render other products useless bcz of buildup? What would you recommend for my new growth? A henna gloss on the entire head or only on the roots? I'm concerned about henna overload esp with my low porosity hair.

finally overcame my fear and started to use henna. the first time I did not use water in the mixture just coconut milk, aloe vera juice, rose water, coffee, oils and conditioner. hair was not dry (super soft). the second time I forgot to used coconut milk and put water... lol, well let just say I am very lucky that I had a really good deep conditioner because my hair was very dry. overall I'm super happy with the results. and my homemade Henna infused coconut oil is great!!! :-D

what's the difference between the mask and the gloss
@meghabhatti6819
@meghabhatti6819 7 жыл бұрын
By Grace Beauty henna gloss has oils and deep condition in much more amount, used for deep condition. Whereas henna is used for intense treatment and the amount of oil is minimal.

Loved this video, however, I think I'll just wait for the cassia update. I'm too accident prone to try henna for the first time and expect good results :/

Hi Curly Proverbz, I do have a question to you: I usually used henna in the last 6 month. Then I used in between a chemical hairdye. I sensed that my hair didn t wanted that chemicals anymore! Is it true that black henna can higher the risk of an allergy against chemical hairdye? It stood on the side of the package.

I have very naturally dry hair and to me the henna mask has been on a few days rehydrated with conditioner and oregano rice water but like my hair is so strong and internally hydrated like periodically through the day I'll feel it to see and today it was never dry at all which is a first

Hi Curly Proverbz. I am at the beginning of my journey and want to know how to begin using henna for dyeing my grays around the front of my hairline and growing my hair beyond shoulder length? I am currently transitioning to natural hair.

I posted this on one of your earlier vids. Just wondering if you ever did that henna challenge that you hinted on doing in your tea vid. If not could you do one? This would be on challenge that I think I could stick with. Thanks!

I know this is super late like super late but I used indigo in my henna to keep my hair dark it wasn’t enough to make it black but it kept it dark brown in the light black looking in the unnatural light its also good for shine and hair loss! hoped that helped lol

@@rockstar9815 do you remember how much of the indigo you used, and did you add it at the beginning or did you wait for the Henna to develop?

FoxyBSugar i know i'm too late but henna should be kept in hair for 4-5 hair for an intense treatment. And when you use henna gloss you can apply it for 2 hours. This is what works for me best.

I know I’m very late on this bus but...... I’ve been using henna and Ayurvedic treatments for 7 months and my hair has grown like 3 inches. My friend who won’t listen to me because of her “hair dresser” who she has been going to for 3 YEARS, won’t try it and her hair is the same length since she started. Don’t let the sound of luxury “ I went to my hairdresser “ get you caught up!! CP knows what she’s doing and talking about! Hellooooo look at that mane she’s got going on. I for one am trying to be down!!!

Is black henna ok to use? I bought it at a health food store, but when I was searching and clicked on another well known KZbin's she was saying that if it's black it's provably has something else in it and could possibly cause skin irritation and cause cancer.

MARIA SAMMY i love the healthy hair benefits of henna BUT henna does turn you gray hairs a firey red/orange. to avoid this color try “neutral henna” = cassia. you can also follow up henna with indigo to darken the firey color that henna imparts 🤗

Hi there... Question... Is it ok to use the henna hair oil after you've done a henna hair treatment?... If not right away, then how long should I wait to begin using ?
@CurlyProverbz

+Samantha Mays hey Samantha everyone is different but I would start with using just one or the other. Then proceed with caution and use the oil on a small section of hair in addition to treatments and see how it goes x

Thank you for your reply. Will do. I'm going to put my hair in twists, so it will be the tea or the oil. But I'm leaning towards the oil. Since I'm not going to twists my hair for another week and the oil takes a little bit to settle.. Question : do you use or have you taught about black seed oil?

Curly Proverbz hi there, I just did a henna gloss treatment. I took out my braids after maybe 3 weeks. I put quite a bit of stuff into the gloss, like marshmallow root and slippery elm, hibiscus leave and aloe Vera powder. My hair is now so brittle and thin, I really can't afford to purchase your products right now. I really need to know what to do my hair is knotted at the tips it feels like straw. Please help.
