Not that I'd ever make excuses for racial bias and prejudice because I hate that s***. But here's one thing that I do think that brands (particularly luxury) brands understand. Black consumers (who they do care about in terms of their consumption of their brands), do not get excited about accessibility. They know that we do not want something that everyone else in our community can have or purchase. The black consumer always wants something that they feel their neighbors and friends aren't up on. So a lot of these brands know that if they market to other communities besides black, blacks will want those products because black consumers quite possibly will look at their brand as "exclusive".🙄🤷🏿‍♂️

That's one of the reasons Jay stopped promoting Cristal and partnered with ace of spades. These luxury brands do not want to be associated with urban culture no matter how much money they make off of being associated with it. Who cares if a spirit company loves or hates Hip-Hop? No company loves anything but profits. If they want to penetrate other demos or not be tied to a certain image then that's on them. Quiet as kept, if a liquor company does target the "urban" demo they have people accusing them of marking poison to the community.
