Le coucher de soleil représente le plan le plus long à mettre en place : on a bossé à 3, pendant une demi-journée juste pour la mise en place des décors et de l'éclairage, sans animation. C'est principalement Lilian Ginet qui s'est occupé de l'éclairage, pendant qu'avec Jean-René Helbert nous avons organisé le décor. On a un peu triché sur les perspectives pour donner l'illusion que le décor est gigantesque. Au montage, on a rajouté quelques teintes "dorées", mais c'est tout.

We started writing the story a long time ago (I think back in 2008), adding new ideas every week and trying to make a solid storyline. Shooting and editing took 8 months (trying to deal with side projects in order to earn some money...). Sound mixing added a few more weeks of work.

Thank you for your comment. The sequence you mention actually is my favorite one. It was interesting to try to convey emotions with body language, voice actors and cinematography, while keeping the same smiley faces all along. I have fond memories shooting this scene, not knowing back then if it would look nice or not! :)

Impressive, just IMPRESSIVE! When I first watched it, it was for five minutes, then I placed it on my Watch Later list. This night, I watched it till the end. Being French, I didn't have to watch the subtitles, so I understood every little bit. I know that Michael Hickox makes impressive animations, but this was out of this world. I already knew it was possible to make such a feat, but to see it in person was an other thing. I have never watched an animation so long and beautiful. Again, impressive... I had tears from the beginning till the end. Why you may ask? Maybe because the animation was so well made! It is an awesome job you guys did there and I think that making this must feel good for you. I have so many questions. If you want to contact me, do it VIA inbox in French or English. For Example: How many YEARS did it take to make this Brickfilm. The ones I make usually take a weekend if I am fast or 2 weeks if it's a special one but I know this took way more time. What was the F.P.S (Frames Per Second)? 16? 20? 24? Check my channel, I too make Stop Motion Brickfilms. Salut salut, ce brickmovie je l'ai vue la toute première fois à mes 10 ans (tout innocent et heureux) j'avais tout de suite accroché à l'histoire j'étais vraiment à fond dedans xd et juste mtn moment ou j'écris ce commentaire j'ai 16 ans. Je me suis rappeler de cette animation qui m'avais tant fais kiffer xd, bon c’est vrai que c’est pas quelque chose de fou dis comme ça hein.. mais vrm, je viens de regarder une nouvelle fois l'animation, quand je me dis que la dernière fois que je l'ai vue je n'avais que 10 ans.. 6 ans après ça ma vrm fais une remontée de nostalgie et de joie en moi, même si je doute que mon commentaire sois lu, Merci.

Je me rappelle être tombé sur ce brickfilm en 2012 quand j'avait 7 ans. This film is fantastic. Even though it's in French, it's one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.
