This is a tribute video for one of the greatest ski racers in the world, Henrik Kristoffersen. Not many get's this award, second so far.
For you that might wonder where this footage was shot, in Levi today 7th of Nov 2023. Also, worth mentioning, bringing a new brand of skis into the very top of the WC was supposed to be an impossible mission but against all adds Marcel Hirscher and Henrik Kristoffersen did just that. Van Deer skis rule.

That looks like soft snow and he has (almost) no spray coming off the skis -- locked in, beast

Yeah, that looks locked in for sure. But the slope is WC prepared and iced. He just skis it like butter. Cheers, Tom

I love these setups where the gates have some wider distance between them so you can see the skiers get really low

Good observation. That offset was massive. My camera does not have a very good zoom but those guys and gals were flying back and forth across the hill so it did not really matter much. But hey, thanks for reminding me. I need to go and measure the offset and the gate distance. Tom

Yet another great video. Thanks! Good for studying timing of when to move the face/look to the next gate. Among other things.

this is a good video for isolating upper and lower body zones ...with a particular focus on lower body attack

Hi ,Tom.I always enjoy your videos,especially before Levi WC. Looking very competitive Henrik is,now he is same age Marcel was retiring,He is Awsome too. Is he training and testing skies ,not racing? ,Women only Levi WC is,I remember.

He is here only training as this is for the time being a women only event. There are lots of other WC men training here as this is supposed to be one of the best training locations in Europe at the moment. A good guess would be that Henrik, like Solevag in previous years, will be seen as a fore runner. BTW, Im good at guessing :)

@@Triggerboy62 I'm happy about Micky Matt, well deserved finally! And sad about Alex Steen Olssen. Hope those crazy guys won't make any harm. But Henrik is the fighter!:))) I wanted to visit the event but the plans changed. Looking forward to Garmisch:)
