I have the Henriksen Blu Six and it’s been great. Versatile, with enough headroom for my acoustic gigs, and so easy on the back. During break we use the Bluetooth option for background music. Still have an old Roland Cube, but it doesn’t get much use nowadays.

Rich, I enjoy your channel and the exquisite guitars and gear. I wish you would demonstrate the difference in jazz tone using a low cost archtop vs a upper end model. A budget friendly guitar with a jazz amp and dial in the best tone. And Wes does a great job keeping you in line. Thanks

Truly a great amplifier. I bought it a few months back in search of something similar to a Polytone. It exceeded my expectations. Still, I've decided to let it go as I will not be performing live any longer and don't need the powerful volume or ease of moving it.

I bought a used Bud10 after I heard Henriksen has that Jazz tone. It also works great for classic rock with pedals, especially the Universal Audio Ruby VOX pedal

I have a Bud Ten. I love it. I got the 10 as insurance in the event I had to lean on it. I never had the chance to demo the 6.

I currently use 2 Quilters....Micropro mach II 8" and a tone block 202 with the 10" cab...they sound great. I have considered getting into a Henriksen, same amp as a matter of fact. but just can't seem to go with it. I would love to know if there is a big difference in tone between these amps. I just can't seem to find any real info on that....Rich you have played them all...do you have an opinion on comparison between these amps and the Quilters I mentioned?

You can hear the difference between the two amps with Rich playing on various You Tube podcasts. The Henriksen sounds much more Jazzy with a richer tone than the Quilter.

The Bud 10 and the Quilter are very similar. IMO: 1. The Bud 10 can do more with a second channel and Bluetooth, so u can do vocals, guitar, and/or background music via Bluetooth. 2. The limiter on the Quilter I find very useful and the th Quilter takes and overdrive better (IMO) giving you more variety in tone. Overall the tone is very similar and straight ahead jazz, the Bud is warmer and smoother.

Henriksen used to have a 12" model but no longer offer it. I have the Blu 10.

I was at the Artisan Luthier Festival and the Woodstock Invitational Festival 4 years consecutively (2019 - 2023). Henriksen was one of the sponsors, as you probably well know. On the stage in the performance room there were Henrikson amps set up for the guitarists performing. On each amp was a Shure SM57 which was sent to a mixing board. Why pay thousands of dollars for one of these little hi-fi amps if you have to 'mic it up'? You get the picture, I'm sure, right? These amps are useful pretty much exclusively for the guitarist who plays in his living room or bedroom. Do they sound good? Yes, of course they do, but not for most professional venues. I always use two Fender blackface '65 reissue Twin Reverbs with a Lexicon PCM92 Studio Reference Reverb on every gig I play. I do not mic them. I have total control of my sound, and I'm told night after night that my sound rivals the sound of a high end studio no matter what size room I play. I hope you see the moral of the story.

Haha! your negative comments have no credibility due to the fact that just one of your Fender amps will cost more than the Henriksen, never mind the weight, physical size, type of gig, etc...

To the previous commentary that it sounds too muddy. Well maybe. But you'd have to know how he has his tone control and amp settings set. It just could be he prefers that tone and that with some adjustments you could get a brighter, more modern sound. Personally, I don't know. I don't have one. With that said, plenty of reviews say they have a lot of headroom and make great pedal platforms, just like the Roland Jazz Chorus. I'm tempted to buy the single channel Henriksen Blu.

Tho Those amps are superb but in my case (budget wise) who can afford them. I stick to my d-v mark jazz 50 watt head and 2×8 dedicated speakers I have 2 cabinets and just as warm but more affordable than the Henrikson even the 1×12 combo (d-v mark) is more affordable and sounds as good as Henrikson. To me I get whatever I can afford try one out if you can and if you desire to and judge for yourself you will see what I talking about.

I have one of these and it sounds good. But power rating is simply hilarious. I think it claims over 100 and it’s likely 20 watts at best

As much as I like that amplifier I think I will stick to your quilter or my Dv-mark 50 jazz head and dedicated 2×8 cabinets (yes I have 2 of them) because I can afford them. This amp is way too pricey and or expensive for what it is. I like and get what I can afford. I say this with all respect. I mean come on man give a guy a break or chance to be able to afford a guitar or amplifier.

The sound of the Henriksen is too muddy and not enough clarity, very very disappointing! Your demo wouldn't get me to purchase the Henriksen Bud 10. Sounds way too deep with way too much bass. I was considering buying it until this video and now I won't.

They arnt muddy amps, it’s way he’s got it set up in this demo (fwiw I liked that Martino style tone). However the Henriksens have a very powerful EQ. You want bright it’s there.
