This amp is great. The sound goes without saying and the size is very helpful for people who travel a lot. It's also very convenient to share with vocals and another guitar. If it were a little cheaper, there would be nothing to say about it.

John. I know this is a year old video, but I just got the Boss GX-100 and was looking for either a PA speaker or FRFR for it when I came across your video. Interestingly enough, I have two guitars, a Taylor T5 and a EBMM JP Majesty that have both acoustic and electric pickups and have been looking for the best way to incorporate these with the simplest rig to play both acoustic and electric along with backing tracks. I had been looking at this amp before and decided to go with an ABY switch using both an acoustic and electric amp. But now that I have the Boss, I'm looking at it to give me something that can be used with both aspects of these guitars. My real question is, have you had any experience with the Bud 10 and do you think it would be worth it to enhance the electric guitar sounds or would the 6 work with an extension cab better?

How did you get your overdriven sound? Did you run your modeler straight into this amp?

Excellent review! It sounds amazing. What are you using to get the jazz fusion driven tones in this demonstration? Does the amp itself give these tones or are you running it through something? I'm sold on the clean sounds but want to also get to some of the warmer shredder tones like you show here..

Henriksen makes great amps!!! John Cordy makes honest and entertaining youtube videos. And here it's happened again!!! You might also try Udo Roesner Da Capo 75 and AER. Why is there an uncharacteristic echo on this video? That's not like you John.

John, if you're still reading comments on this: When you use your Henriksen with the Helix or other modeler, and with the tweeter off, do you use a cabinet or cabinet/mic IR in the Helix? Or do you turn off any cabinet modeling and let the Henriksen basically act like a traditional guitar amp, with the modeler not doing any cab/mic modeling? -Tom

I've spoken with John about this and from what I understand it's just plug and play. He is not doing anything different other than plugging the output of his Line 6 helix into the Henriksen. I do understand that he uses the 4 cable method quite a bit for a lot of those patches, using the effects loop for time based effects. I believe he even comments how easy it is to integrate the helix with his amp in this video? I will check in with him and mention that you asked this question.
