Thanks Douglas for your Selmer Research. I always knew my 88xxx VI alto was a long bow but never noticed the two tildes. I love how it plays and will never part with it. Great to know more of the history behind these classic intstruments

217 MK VI alto and I can confirm just the R no dots, and the Serial reads M. 217
