In a kid's imagination, their psyche might intertwine these 2 & believe their uncle really was just filmed while doing his job as Superman. Even adults give into the fantasy & take photos w/ Cinderella, Snow White or Ariel in Disneyland, being very hyped abt it while also aware it's just someone in a costume. Casually you need a little pixie dust in your life & for a child that's cmpltly fine. What personal connection does he have to Christopher Reeve? He probably would've simply said he's into superheroes otherwise, but me as a child would've also been convinced Henry is the REAL deal, while everyone else is only playing him/his role in the other movies.

Because there's many people with the same surname??????? Literally let's say there was like 2000 people in that city where the kid lives, I'm sure about a 100 of them would have the same surname. Doesn't mean one Cavill is immediately related to THAT Cavill. The only other excuses I have for that woman is that 1) she was new 2) she just didn't connect because it's her job tp be a teacher and, well, _teach_ the kids, including on the lying (besides, Henry _did_ say his nephew is known for telling tall tales so...) or 3) she knew but she was either a) being ignorant or b) wanted to meet Henry Cavill.
