Specially as Battlefleet Gothic, miniature game of 40k spaceship battles, is me favourite game made by Games Workshop ever, Blackstone Fortress is just so iconic thing introduced to 40k universe in that game originally and Henry is totally right, it kind of looks like it!!! XD

Never really played any Warhammer BUT as long as Henry is in charge of the show that alone will be enough for me to see him in a Fantasy role again. I know enough about him to know he will treat the IP right and make Warhammer fans happy. Best of luck to him. Look forward to seeing it in action.

There is no other way to say it, but Warhammer is a very nerdy hobby. It's such a surprising thing for people to see a handsome, charming and fit actor be into this hobby. But we love him for it! Regarding PC games about Warhammer. There are some good ones that you could check out. 👍

The irony is they come across boring and at least he has hobbies. They sit there and criticise his hobbies while they sit there being boring and vanilla. The irony never ceases to amaze me. But then the other guy is all like "yeh me too" and they just vibe together leaving the other 2 to just be boring and judgmental by themselves.

I love the idea for the potential of bumping into Henry Cavill playing Warhammer at a comic book store. I'm not into that stuff but I've been going to the same comic book store for over 30 years so I mix with the people who play Warhammer or World of Warcraft or Magic the Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh because those are just my type of people, even though I'm on the comic book side of things. And I really like seeing miniatures painted well because you can see the passion in it.

Yeah, some people I used to play with over 10 years ago, were also painting their own armies for Warhammer and Warhammer 40k (and other peoples miniatures, for money), gave up their job at a game shop and now work painting nails in a nail salon, because they had the skill needed for it. So if you like being artistic and have a good hand-eye coordination, go for it Bunny.

I think most people in the hobby are used to being mocked about it, it's geeky, like D&D, but when you see how many boardgames with miniatures are being kickstarted nowadays, I think people are starting to get the appeal. 😉

I mean people who are into 40k arent bothered by such minor things because 40k is so much more extreme. Saying "i hate you" in starwars only happens after some great betrayal happens and an evil revealed. in 40k thats just how they greet each other. I started Warhammer hobby in age of 14 I think, in 7th grade, now 41 and it did save me life. As I had autism spectrum and me puberty ended around the 7th grade, it started around 3rd grade, and autism etc Adhd things weren't known things here back then. Anyway I was bullied heavily, school I was in 7th grade was 3rd largest in me country with almost thousand students for grades 7-10 and 10th grade is optional here, so there were usually like less than 30 of them... With out library next to the school and me new hobby/escapism to Warhammer hobby, I would have probably killed meself, that I'm 100% sure...

It's not really an exception though when it's common: In 2022, women accounted for 48% of gamers in the United States, up from 45 percent of U.S. gamer women during the previous year. We can safely assume at least 40% of gamers are women.

7:17 Blackstone fortress is almost as iconic to reset 40k events as Death Star to SW universe. It was a colossal space station/superweapon (8 of which was created by an eldar smith god Vault to fight C'Tan Void Dragon 60+ millions years ago). Blackstone fortress should destroyed Cadia during the 13 Black Crusade, but in the end I'll skip the details, the weapon that could destroy an entire world never fired, and at the end of the Battle of Cadia, Abaddon the Despoiler dropped the remains of the Blackstone Fortress onto the planet like a giant meteorite, and the planet split into pieces. I highly recommend starting getting into Warhammer 40k by listening to the Horus Heresy (also known as 30k) audiobooks first. They are not only expertly made, but start from a 0 knowledge required point and cover all the pivotal events, characters and lore that lead to 40k being what it is From games I recommend Dawn of War II (arpg & rts) and Space Marine (fps) the most for people who are new to 40k games

BUNNY, the games THE WITCHER and METALRISING he played and the game WARHAMMER are really amazing. I can talk about THE WITCHER because I've seen gameplay of the game, but unfortunately I haven't played it yet. He played METALRISING and he loved the game, the same is true for me. As for the game WARHAMMER I can talk about the version I played called WARHAMMER 40,000 SPACE MARINES that I played on PS3. I didn't expect a great game, but I was surprised and the game is going to be remade for the new generation, and the news I heard.

Hi, agree that Henry (and anyone else) should NOT be ashamed for being fan of Warhammer (or any other sci-fi / fantasy etc.) Just for info - Total War WH 1, 2 and 3 are about WH Fantasy, same company and some ideas, but different universe, something like medieval Europe style with magic and grim darkness. For you, if you really want to get deeper into WH 40k world, I recommend these 2 videos from Bricky about main factions of WH 40k: Part 1: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnSqfIOInq-jbpY Part 2: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2fNn6aObJyHebc As for PC games, Dawn of War series is great introduction. It gives you feeling for each main faction (except Tyranids) as you lead them in base building (Warcraft 3 / Company of heroes style) RTS (DoW 1 - Space Marines; Winter Assault - Imperial Guard, Eldar, Chaos and Orks; Dark Crusade - all previous and Necrons with Tau; and Soulstorm adding Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar). Then follows Dawn of War 2, which is squad based RPG RTS (DoW 2, Chaos Rising campaigns focuses on small team of Space Marines that you level up and gear up between missions, with nice story that also little bit flashbacks into DoW campaigns events, and DoW 2 Retribution with climax of that DoW 2 storyline, where you can play as 6 different races). Then there is shooter game Space Marine (sequel should be released this year), more focused on action with basic story, but with great visualisation of the 40k. If you like tactical space battles, you can try Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 1 and 2 (again great games), and there are many others that I did not played (Darktide, Mechanicus, Inquisitor Martyr...). 10:14 well you are in luck then wh40k might be the most vast sci-fi universe there is. There are over 350 novels from 60 different autors alone. And then we ofc have lots of other stuff too like codex'es etc. There is a reason why lore channels like luetin09 have like 1h videos explaining some tiny aspect of the lore or why brickys introduction that barrely covered the most important parts of each faction goes for 2 hours.
