they could. It means better enginneering and work at your own pace lines. constant flow lines means when one person misstake and get behind a defective product will go down the line and not stop. this usually means the product will have move off the line repaired or scraped. If assembler can take his time then the quailty goes up and misstakes are rare.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Henry Ford's assembly line. The tactic is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of industrial business most of the history and thought went into it will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Henry's positive outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from his accomplishments as a Captain of Industry, for instance. The historians understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these tactics, to realize that they're not just influential and important in business and history- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Henry Ford truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the meaning in Henry's existencial catchphrase "whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right," which itself is a cryptic reference to the average human's thoughts on whether or not they're capable of reaching the goals they set out for themselves. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Henry Ford's genius unfolds itself into history and business. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Henry Ford tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

The moving assembly line was used WAY before Ford. Look at the back of a £20 note. It goes back to the 1700's. Also used to produce steam engines.

@@geoffjones606 - More specifically, Ford was the first to utilize a moving assembly line for the mass production of automobiles and all his competitors soon followed his lead!

you do not need high IQ to understand the assembly line. How ever you need High IQ to design one that go at the pace of assembly worker. On conveyor style assembly line it never stops if you make misstake slow down and miss a step produce a product down line with a flaw. Also it harder to find workers who will work at the speed of the line all the time. Also at time ford had a policy of never stop the line. It one reason why toyota cars where more reliable because they would stop the line to fix a mistake before it left the factory.

Each expert (capitalist) would create his own part of the item with simple tools. Each expert (sub contractor) would create his own part of the item with simple tools. Each expert would create his own part of the item with simple tools. And join a union for protecting his capital (one makes). BECAUSE, the investors want a "share the means of production" pension plan. AKA building wealth, AKA passive income. Let me clear; the investors and the union members are at odds here.
