I haven't seen you for years, Henry, I still have my old VHS videos of you in your younger days, you have put on a bit of weight but so have most of us.

Your enthusiasm is inspirational chum, I live in N. Ireland but never had a bass after 30 yrs fishing. Recently bought the savage gear shore game rod and have a new interest in bagging the spiney ones! 👍

So it's dark lures at night and bright when it's really bright. Makes sense, I remember old guys year's ago catching cod on black feather's at night off rocks.
@bassonlures2 жыл бұрын
Also clear water more natural lure colour type, murky water tend to go darker lure, night is more white and chartreuse colours 👍🎣🐟

Cracking video that captures the fun of fishing in light surf, and great advice. I know this because my first ever bass in the surf were caught last year with Seekers and Sandeel Pencils on, I believe, that very same beach. Such an exhilarating experience! Thank you Henry, Savage Gear and, for the day, John.

Been using the seekers for over a year and in my opinion superb lures. I mainly use the 23g seekers. My only criticism of them is that paint on them isn't that durable and lure chips to easily. That beach looks familiar, it isn't in castlegregory Co kerry by any chance? Was there 7 days ago trying for bass with my bro.
@savagegearuk10632 жыл бұрын
It wasn't Castlegregory, but we are glad you like the Surf Seekers.
@henrygilbey3022 жыл бұрын
The Seekers are no different to any other lures - if they are bashed against rocks a lot, they are going to lose their finish. I tend to use mine mainly in the surf and they are as good as new

I like my lures when they are beaten up. Don't like clipping on a new one, give me the veteran fish catchers every day!

Great vid Henry, very in formative, here in kent is very much the same with the 2 hrs before low scenarios, we also have a few high venues that's do the same 2hrs before and after, I noticed you have changed your lure bag recently as you used to be hpa, just wondering what you use now, all the best 👍🎣🐟
@henrygilbey3022 жыл бұрын
The HPA bag is brilliant but often not easy to get hold of in the UK after Brexit............I am trying something else out at the moment, something we are working on
