Honestly, he is an actor though. I'm not saying he's the best Shakespearian method actor in the world or whatever but he has the ability to forget about his reality and create a new reality and become part of it and that's all acting really is. Even when he came out and said "Break a leg. I did." he was acting. I'm sure he didn't feel naturally antagonistic toward them. He briefly just created a new reality for the sake of humor or to get a rise out of someone. Not everyone can do that. Not everyone can make their mindset vastly different easily and quickly.

i did chat with danny devito once, it was at an art gallery in west hollywood, i went there to see an afternoon of performance art which as it turned out was organized by Danny's daughter, so Danny was there, and also Rhea Perlman, Danny's wife (Carla on "Cheers".) It was exciting to meet him, and to be in the same room with her. He didn't mention Henry.

a take away from this i got, when you start feeling nervous and start doubting your abilities and anxiety starts to kick in it's "male macho BS" that keeps you from succumbing to those negative thoughts. To me it's an inaccurate dichotomy. Self doubt, anxiety, nervousness is normal and addressing those emotional states by challenging yourself is also normal. Succumbing to those emotions is also normal. Lying to yourself about those emotions and taunting yourself to make yourself look like the big man can be seen as the "male macho BS" but it takes a judgement to make to come to that conclusion. my point is that facing fears and anxieties has nothing to do with being Macho.
