I'm here because of curiosity about the label that put out Christian Death- Only Theatre Of Pain. Wasn't into punk initially, but that album rocked my teen goth world.

How can they not say anything about Suicidal Tendencies very 1st album? Such a classic. They get hardly any respect from the whole punk-history world of books & docs, interviews. Criminal.

The first album is a great record but it's their only real punk record. After that they tried to do rap metal with "Join the Army" and then thrash. I think they became something else.

I get why people like vinyl, when you have a great setup. I completely disagree about CDs being inferior. Digital simply preserves the best quality audio. You can record with Analog all you want. Digital preserves it. It is too bad HI FI is not as accessible to people. Many people are missing out on the experience of a real sound system. Love the discussion and hearing about a different side of music.

Eddie Joseph shout out! The Skeletons In The Closet and Dead Drunks Don't Dance LPs are both phenomenal. I wish this interview was 3 hours long - could listen to these two talk for ages. Lisa, if you see this, please reissue the Middle Class catalog on vinyl!

I know exactly what henry was talking about with small shows. I was lucky to have my teenager years in Massachusetts during the late 80s early 90s. I saw alot of bands in places that held 500 or less. Axis avalon the rat narcissis paradise Derringers Lupos babyhead sir morgans cove palladium many others. Lots of big name bands.

I've always been a huge Thin White Rope fan. All their albums came out on Frontier as well as the Long Ryders first lp. Also, unlike Slash & the original Dangerhouse label, I've never heard about Frontier ripping off its artists. ('Pass the Dust I think I'm Bowie' is a tremendous hoot, highly recommended!)

Funny just read that it is/was a fad and that the “hipster” influence is already on the wane. Liisa Francher. Please those early Marylin Manson vinyl releases there’s some brilliant music and great influences there and originals are unaffordable for most.
