I was there. Meeting Henry in the press area, I introduced myself to the artist, asking, "Hello, Mr Rollins, may I take a photo"? I still have that photo, although after 29 years I'm not sure where it is? He was an imposing figure. Having seen the band on the preceding tour, at Leicester's De Monfort Uni (post-Polytechnic), in the photographer's pit, I witnessed a superb performance, closer than anything I had at Reading. Henry Rollins is one great performer. It is ingrained in my memory.

Kind of makes me sad that an English crowd couldn't get Rollins' sardonic sense of humour... How can they have missed the whole point of the song?! He's exposing the malignant narcissists mind.
@lebheidenstrm53925 жыл бұрын
What I loved about it was that those that were upset with him thought he was speaking directly to them....but he was also part of a song that was being played. Maybe it was too much for some people minds and they thought there were multiple levels of performance going on at once.

Than at 21 I found that one girl, who told me everything and more and believed it all, than she walked out without a care in the world after 5 years of lying, left me scarred for life as she was way outta my league. I should've known after a lifetime of being the ugly duckling and not even able to get the ugly chicks, than this beautiful, smart, funny girl comes along and makes me believe I'm all that, which is a dangerous thing to do to someone who's really ugly cause people will walk out at slightest show of confidence or ego...
