I think the revenged ending is so underrated, it literally shows Henry getting what he wanted, to revenge Reginald for almost killing him. But for what cost? This ending and valiant hero are the only ones that are different, where Henry achieved his goal but the outcome wasn't good after all.

I love Valiant Hero just because from the start it feels odd. First time I was playing it I went with it right after the Ellie + Charles route, one of the funniest of them all. I expected something on the same level going into it but was met with completely different. Sad looking pub, dead end for Henry, depressive news, sad music, even damn music name. But then we meet Charles. Who seems as the last positive guy on the earth, believing there is still a chance to win. The whole route was feeling so weird not knowing its ending. There was no laughs, no music, no epicness. Just moments of nothing but interraction and tram work of Henry and Charles. And when he dies, well... it all lines up. The realisation of what amazing job devs did to show us how hard can a deatha of dummy pilot character of a pretty stupid game for lols, of how a good character will always be a good character and even in the context of game, how we start to care. Care about their wishes, their personality. And the fact that they made it with Charles who in his final mission made everything he wanted - defeat toppats, be positive in depression, even crush the helipocter.

I think Toppat Civil War is great, but I think it would’ve been a lot cooler if you needed to find a way to get to the escape pods, rather than immediately going there. Like you could have the same options, but after you choose Deuces, you have to find your way to the room where Henry fails by walking by the meeting in Infiltrating the Airship. Say the ladder to get up there is broken and you need to find a way to get to the area

My main gripe with this video is: How is Pardoned Pals better than Toppat Recruits? The whole time, Ellie and Henry's motivation during this path is to join the Toppats. Electing to join the Toppats results in an ending fakeout where Henry has a boss fight with the warden of the prison. Finally, it ends with Henry and Ellie finally earning their way into the Toppat Clan for once. Meanwhile, Pardoned Pals doesn't feel like it matches up with their motivation during the rest of the route. I get what Puffballs was going for with the ending, but it just felt tacked on to the end of the route last minute. They hope into this helicopter and are somehow not shot by either the Toppat Clan or the Wall warden while doing so, and immediately upon joining the government's side, the defeat the Toppats in an anticlimactic way, and then they get pardoned by the general for two seconds of work that literally anyone else on that battlefield could have done with absolutely zero pushback, despite the fact that Henry completely betrayed him in the past. It just doesn't work at all for me.

Someone else pointed that out too and I completely understand. I mostly ranked it higher because I enjoyed the change of heart. However if I reranked these endings again I think I would change some endings around like this one. I agree that it doesn't match up motivation wise. Thanks for your feedback and thoughts!

I felt the exact same way when ranking the endings. Sure, I love teaming up with my brother Charles, but it just comes out of left field and doesn't make a lot of sense within the narrative. The choice between Pardoned Palls and Toppat Recruits, is similar to the choice between Relentless Bounty Hunter and Rapidly Promoted Executive. We have spent the mission with the goal of capturing Reginald for the government, and right at the end, are suddenly given a different option, but that's where the similarities end, because here, both choices make sense within the narrative. We have been trying to capture the Toppat leader the entire mission, so it makes sense to just see it through to the end, but on the other hand becoming the Toppat leader also makes sense, after all, the government forced this mission onto you and Henry is a criminal at heart.

You kinda missed the reference in Lawyered Up, you probably know that it's a reference to Phoenix Wright, but the fail screen there is also a reference. Basically, in those games, there's a lot of illogical stuff where you can present something that could help you defend your client, but the game just counts it as wrong. Cool video! Yeah, Toppat Civil War is a cool prompt/setting, but not much of an interesting ending. Also, I personally would rank Pardoned Pals below Toppat Recruits because it just feels kinda weird and anticlimactic that they get to just shoot out a couple of beams and knock over the rocket when they go through so much more effort on other paths. I guess the Complex being involved maybe makes a difference?

I remember my friend going out on how Pardoned Pals is the worst ending in Henry Stickmin. His main argument was "it contradics pretty much everything that's happened before". Let me explain his reasoning. Out mission in this ending was to join the Toppats,why do we just randomly decide to switch sides when we were just about to finish our first mission. And even more,why did Charles even wanted us to join,if this ending goes after Pure-Blooded Thief,which has Henry betraying the Government in order to steal the Ruby,so we're not that good friends with the Government OR Charles.

here's my opinion on the best and weakest route from each game, (based on visuals, fails, and overall memorability) Escaping the prison Weakest: Lawyered up (its just no very engaging with only 1 choice in it with not a lot of engaging visuals, while not even having good fails as all of them are the exact same, making coming back it it for all of them pretty boring, while not bad, I consider this the weakest route in the series) Best: Bad Bust out (the first quicktime heavy route in the series with some of the better fails in the game, and some fun action) Stealing the Diamond Weakest: Unseen Burglar (not bad it just has the least amount going on, but it has some of the best fails in the series, especially the fails on the roof, including the first successful use of the teleporter) Best: Just Plain Epic (the fails are pretty humorous, the action is really good, and its the first appearance of the Center for Chaos Containment) Infiltrating the Airship Weakest: Relentless Bounty hunter (it has some really good action and fails but all its best qualities, it shares with the much more memorable Rapidly Promoted Executive, leaving this particular path buried in its sister route's shadow) Best: Pure Blooded Thief (the action is just incredible, the fails are hilarious, the music is amazing, this route is one of the best in the series) Fleeing the Complex Weakest: Ghost inmate (like Unseen Burglar, not a whole lot going on in this route, the fails, while good aren't as good as other routes, and it just doesn't leave that big of an impact) Best: Convict Allies (The first time henry has a companion in the field already makes it very memorable, but the amazing fails, like the xXN00bSlayerXx one, and the chaotic breakout setting make this one impossible to forget) Completing the Mission Weakest: Cleaned em Out (yet another route with not a while lot happening, the fails are at least good, even featuring one of the only instances where something reviewed by Gadget Gabe actually works) Best: Valiant Hero (The fails and visuals were very good, but its the absolutely heartbreaking ending that cement this route as not just the best in the game, but the series as a whole) (honorable mentions to triple threat and revenged, the former having some of the best fails in the game, especially diversion, and the latter having the best action in the game)

Honestly Capital Gains was my one of favorite endings, despite being the shortest. I just think it was super epic and cool how at the end Henry finally mastered the “Stickmin Pawnch!” Also loved Valiant Hero and the one with Henry, Charles and Ellie.

at first for every ending i was thinking of vh.. when i saw it wasnt at 2nd place or either lower places i knew it was vh, it gave it away for a bit with the chitchat ..when i found out it surely was the ending i went crazy hehe... but overall it does deserved 1st place.. even though almost everyone cried their eyes out.. i also did.. it is true sometimes you get attached to things even if their not real.. We all miss charles.. may he rest in peace.. i know the game is ded, but i still have this heart to continue watching things from this fandom.. But I wish everyone who red this has a great new years eve or new year!
