I woke up to this song every morning when I was in the 9th grade in our poor, humble home in NYC every morning. It was how I got the energy to get up when the heat was not enough in that cold winter of 77. I would hear it playing on the radio during the day that year and it always felt uplifting; I don't know exactly why, but it felt like an anthem to NY'ers resiliency to any circumstance.

I am lucky to have lived through the 70s dedade I aand I don't say it to brag, but to use it for extra weight to your statement "the bubble burst on humanity after the 70s" I concur, there was a noticeable change in the world, during the early 80s. The music gradually became synthesised, televised (MTV) and shit. For me, this point marks the downward spiral to the point where we are now, which is garbage.
