Today I turn 69 and I was 22 when I heard New York’s national disco anthem ♥️ I was a member of the disco tribe for life! I was a party girl and my husband was the DJ in clubs all through upstate NY. We were some mean hustle dancers too! We’re married 48 years and I still love this music.

I woke up to this song every morning when I was in the 9th grade in our poor, humble home in NYC every morning. It was how I got the energy to get up when the heat was not enough in that cold winter of 77. I would hear it playing on the radio during the day that year and it always felt uplifting; I don't know exactly why, but it felt like an anthem to NY'ers resiliency to any circumstance.

I am lucky to have lived through the 70s dedade I aand I don't say it to brag, but to use it for extra weight to your statement "the bubble burst on humanity after the 70s" I concur, there was a noticeable change in the world, during the early 80s. The music gradually became synthesised, televised (MTV) and shit. For me, this point marks the downward spiral to the point where we are now, which is garbage. Without decent music feeding the souls of people on a daily basis, people now are empty inside and looking for happiness in the wrong places - Best to you Rachel
