Marvin Gaye...Mercy Mercy Me...Extended Mix...
"Woah, ah, mercy, mercy me
Ah, things ain't what they used to be (ain't what they used to be)
Where did all the blue skies go?
Poison is the wind that blows
From the north and south and east
Woah mercy, mercy me, yeah
Ah, things ain't what they used to be (ain't what they used to be)
Oil wasted on the ocean and upon our seas
Fish full of mercury
Oh Jesus, yeah, mercy, mercy me, ah
Ah, things ain't what they used to be (ain't what they used to be)
Radiation underground and in the sky
Animals and birds who live nearby are dying
Hey, mercy, mercy me, oh
Hey, things ain't what they used to be
What about this overcrowded land?
How much more abuse from man can she stand?
Oh, na, na, na
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Hey, ooh, woo..."
It's Time We All Started Dancing Again...

The music of today - especially violent and aggressive rap rubbish - is an insult to all those who crafted and sang beautiful songs like this. Rest in peace beautiful Marvin. 🎶💙

I disagree. Some of these are only telling us about their life. And in the end, I would rather trust them more than these phony, mask wearing synthetic people anyday.

I strongly disagree. I used to have the same opinion. Some of it is rubbish. Not all. Every one of these artists have a story to express themselves. Their music tells their experiences. It actually helps some sectors of society. In the world that we live in, not every life is about love and peace. Violence is also. Hurt, pain revenge, etc. They reach folks and relate to their experiences as well.

Matthew 21:15-16 15 But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did *and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David,”* they were indignant. 16 *“Do you hear what these children are saying?”* they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, *“‘From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise’?”* Praise God that you know Him and the power and His might, who has triumphed over all the power of the enemy to give us an endless life. Jeremiah 9:23-24 23 Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glories glory in this, *that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.*

God loves you and He loves that you want to know Him. That's why he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us all. And He was buried and He rose again on the third day. So that we may have an abundant life through Him. This is the Gospel the good news. Keep seeking God. Jeremiah 29:13

Turning 70 on Saturday the 10th of February…..this came on the radio as I sat on my bedroom floor being a teenager at 17. Although I had no mature understanding what he was telling us all about; these words hit something deep down in my heart. I had no idea!!!! Racism The Vietnam war and everything this song says began to happen. All around all of us. Only I could see a little bit better. At 70, which is way too long, I can see. So sad. What’s the matter with all of us?!!

Marvin played on the radio throughout my teenage years. Knew the words to all his songs. But I was young then. Had yet to discover the sadness he spoke of. Looking back now, I understand his heart. His sorrow. For I feel them too. You must have called to my heart today because your words began spilling out without notice. You will always live in the hearts of all of us who have always known you and in the ones who are just discovering you. An Angel on High, you will always be. A soul of peace and love ❤️

It was the summer of 1970, as our family drove to Chicago from Kansas City, this song came on the radio for the first time. My heart was moved, and when the song ended, tears streamed down from my face. Miraculously, later that summer in Detroit Michigan, I would meet Marvin Gaye. ❤

Marvin Gaye through his song Mercy Mercy Mercy Me he made every person young & old, rich & poor black, yellow, brown & white, feel the woes of the whole world. I was only 11 years old when I 1st heard this song and I instantly felt his passion for the pain & suffering of the world & it laid heavy in my conscious and in my heart as it echoed in my ears & I realized that pain & suffering is real but only our Father who Art in Heaven can heal the hearts & minds of mankind. But Marvin Gaye brought the reality of pain & suffering to the forefront of everyone who who ever had ears to hear this song & through this song he will always be remembered.

This song from Marvin Gaye is very appropriate for today’s world. Unfortunately, it is true today as it was yesterday with lyrics that depict the true reality of the times we are living. LOVE Marvin Gaye, and love all his songs. It is too sad that he is not in this world anymore, he was gone way too sooner. May Marvin continues to Rest in Peace always and may he continue to sing to the Lord and to all those who have passed away…….they sure can appreciate Marvin Gaye and his music. He might be gone but will never be forgotten in the minds and hearts of those who follows good music today and always. 🙏🌹🙌👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Mercy, mercy me he couldn't have said it better becoming Mr. Marvin Gaye was definitely before him time and song this song with heart felt meaning with love and concern. Things getting worser every day but we know that the Lord is coming back soon to a place that he has been preparing for over 2000 years. My God what a place it's going to be. So satan knows his time is getting shorter and shorter. That's why what the Lord has for you is for you. My daddy was my pasta during his lifetime while he was here on earth and i will always remember his sermon he preached one Sunday saying a man of God were home to be with the Lord and he saw all these presents that were unopened to he asked his angel want was all of those and his angel told him that they were presents that belonged to him the he never opened while he was down here. That goes to show us what God has for us is for us and all we have to do is surrender and believe in him. And finally I thank God for his grace and mercy ❤❤❤😂😊😊😅😅😅🎉❤
