every time I want to hear a five minute black note chord I come back to this. heard it as a youngster, listening on the radio in the dark. the final few mins were awesome

I think his music with it s connection to folk traditions ie the patterns in this music are wonderful

It seems that the end of the Folkloric song in the third symphony is based on 8:11 and the finale of the two symphonies share a similar structure.
