I wish henry would figure out how to make a long ranger that accepted a 10-round magazine. You'd make a fortune in states where ARs are essentially banned.

@@rogerwilliams2629 I think the issue there is the lever not having enough travel to accommodate that magazine. Also to some it might look out of place. I'd like to see them develop a narrow rotary cylindrical magazine akin to the pp-bizon that attaches flush into the foregrip. This would address the lever travel issue.

The reason is simple, hunting cartridges and rifles are focused on maximum power as well as portability, not necessarily durability or barrel life. Henry has a lifetime warranty and if people start treating these like they do their assault rifles banging away mag after mag overheating the barrel they will have more claims. There are laws against a certain amount of ammo and many states also ban detachable magazines in their assault weapon laws now. It's simpler and easier for Henry to make it the way it is.

@@mikecoglione1308 no such thing as an assault rifle and AR10s are chambered in 308 a d now 6.5 creed more. I live the Long Ranger a d will iwn one someday when hunting is all I need a rifle for.

Excellent rifles, and excellent calibers. I cannot quibble with success - BUT - as a hunter education instructor in Arizona, I question the ethics a a frontal shot through dense vegetation. They make 16” barrels, have two, 38/357 & 44 mag, don’t know if it will carry over into the side loading gate ones. But the “old ones” are sweet, especially the 357. 🤙🏼❤️🇺🇸🤠
