The train line was built to bring people to Lady Yules Fair, my grandmother remembered going to it on the green. I was born in Bricket Wood in 1960 it’s lovely to see the Railway station restored after all these years❣️

Wow. I was last at that station nearly 30 years ago when I came to Brickett Wood. After a 13 hour flight. Got myself into the management trainee program with HSBC in which BW was the location of their global training centre. Was there for 7 weeks.

Thank you very much! I agree it's nice to see tea room like this at a railway station. While quite a few stations in London and the home counties have a coffee kiosk you don't often get a tea room like this. If you do they tend to be a well visited rural stations..

I used to live in Bricket Wood, our house backed on to Bricket Wood Station.l was disturbed to hear that the line could be converted to a bus way!

Thank you for watching! The busway plan seems to have been dropped as have plans for a light rail conversion. Time will tell what does happen in the long run.

Very nice Tea room at Bricket Wood station. Plus there were plans for a passing loop to be built at Bricket Wood with an extra platform. So that you would see a train from Watford Junction pulling into platform 1 and a train from St. Albans Abbey using the new platform 2 & passing loop.

@@HenrysAdventures I doubt I'd get to all of your locations but slowly checking off some of the model railways. So, I love your adventures! Out of your 2000+ videos, I'd reckon that incident is a one off and you shouldn't let it or the other recent event discourage you. I have two mates who drive locos in the States. Sadly, they've both witnessed several times what you saw, but with a front seat view. Awful.

Sadly it is something that happens and with the amount of time I spend on the railway thinking back, maybe it was just a matter of time before I witnessed something like that.
