One of the best parts about LD walking is looking back at the lows, and realising and remembering that you still made it anyway. It also helps you to appreciate and be grateful for things that you take for granted on your next trip, e.g just being dry, or, having AIR in a sleeping mat!

WHW ~ just watched all 3 B2B & took me back some 40 yrs. Colleagues & I did it. Yes "RIAN" played a huge part of it, but although soaked right through we all just laughed it off (Company helps). I wasn't into photography then, but as usual you have inspired me immensely! So once the world is fixed I'll drive to the area and stay a few days. I loved reaching the summit of the devil's staircase and was met with the stunning ridge of mountains... thank you so much for your help via video.... my skills in pics have lept forwards so much. 👍

What a marvellous way to sign off up in the Highlands of Scotland before you new adventures in Germany! I remember well climbing up Crowberry Gully on the Buachaille and also doing the Aonach Eagach Ridge great days out they were. My niece had her German adventure curtailed thanks to Thomas Cook folding she's back home now but she enjoyed it over there very much as I'm sure you will Henry, and of course my calendar arrived today just got to get the hammer out and find a good spot on my wall!

Fair play Henry. Great mini-series. I don't think many will appreciate just how heavy your pack would have been with 2 tripods, DSLR, 2 lenses, a drone and vlogging camera with all the spare batteries and not to mention the camping equipment. To carry all that over 100 miles in the weather conditions you faced is truly an awesome achievement. Well done.

I really enjoyed this WHW video set. You deserve a medal for carrying all that weight! I did the WHW in April and carried a D810 with a 50mm, a 24mm and tripod also with the intention of doing some landscape photography, but as you found out, it doesn’t quite work out that way. Landscape photography on its own can be brutal enough, but trying it to do it on top of hiking 96 miles in nigh on impossible. And I didn’t even have camping gear to lug along. But if the videos inspire others to walk the fabulous WHW then its worth the additional effort of making the videos. Well done!

I've persuaded my hubby, 11 & 13 year old to come & hike the WHW Easter 2021 with me. We'll be taking 12 days including travelling up from Cambridge & home. I really hope we don't have constant miserable wet weather & feel like you did . We have no views here in Cambs so I want the kids to see the beautiful scenery & not foggy, misty blah each day. We're doing a mix of campsites & wild camping. Fingers crossed for 29/3/21 x

That rainbow shot - a typical case of being at the right place at the right time! Very well done! 👍 Yes, you made it to the end! Awesome. For your interest: We have some interesting multiple day hikes here in Germany, too. .

After the mood you started in Henry I think that rainbow was for you cracking photos nothing more desolate than Ranoch Moor in the dreich Scottish rain Glencoe is my favourite place on the planet climbed most of the mountains including Buchaille Etive Mor I remember how emotional you were when you did the wild camp on the Three Sisters. And as you found out the downhill from the Devils Staircase is worse for the legs lol and that pull from Kinllochleven the next morning with a hangover lol WELL DONE Henry

Henry I can relate to your frustrations with the rain. It's been raining all morning here in Southern Arizona, thus I don't even want to go out the door. Thursday will be Sunny, 81º (27 C) and 19% cloud cover. loved tagging along with you on your hike.

Like you we got soaked but only for 2 days and we had digs in bnbs along the way with our gear being transported to our next stop for us. I hope the poor weather hasn't put you off trying it again so you could get more photography done. Stay safe mate😎

Quite a contrast to our second WHW adventure a year earlier. We hiked the whole way in a heatwave. In Scotland! Ironically we went to Glenfinnan in a thunderstorm the day after we finished and the car park flooded in about five minutes. You did well to keep going in those conditions, and to shoot the vlog including the B roll mate. Good stuff. Also shows how hard it is to combine long distance hiking with photography. The two should go hand in hand, but it's so difficult to find the moment let alone the energy when you're struggling through some difficult terrain. Bet your shins were sore by the time you arrived in Kinlochleven. That descent is the bit I really dread - much worse than the uphilll for me.

Well done Henry, that would be a difficult treck in those conditions without having to shoot to b roll, take photographs and carry a drone! The shot of Glencoe was worth all the trouble and is certainly one for the calendar. Like many of your viewers we will miss your UK content but there is a huge amount of photography to be done in Europe and your unique approach and willingness to explore the less cliched viewpoints Will only strengthen you portfolio. Well done!
