Love the Ultimate Guard double deckbox, I still use it from time to time. But for those of you in Europe, the German company Zauberhand has a 4 decks deckbox that can fit 4x100 double sleeved cards and showcase the commander. Perfect to have some choice for game night, and/or to play with people who don't have their own decks.
@ryanquinn1257 Жыл бұрын
I do this with what are listed as 150 card clear boxes inside arkhive 400. Double sleeved commander decks perfectly for with some tokens (as long as it’s not one of the thicker inner sleeves) along with relevant tokens up to like 8 new and 12 or so when played in. The boxes are wide enough to have commander on top of the cards. Usually I take 7 decks and then inifinitokens and dice in slot 8. Ultra pro 150 count 2 piece box x4 inside arkhive 400.

this is such a sweet build! my favorite edh deck is athreos, shroud-veiled that is also built around ETB value and flicker/sacrifice effects. i love how the blitz mechanic offers such a natural fit for this kind of thing, and being in green for ramp is always a boon.

This decks really seems to fit LVD style, at last when comparing to the usual deck techs for Brawl - a lot of value and synergy, but not too combo focused, plus a few pet cards that might be sub-optimal, but are fun to play. Glad to see you are on the more casual side of the commander world and bonus points for Moldgraf Monstrosity. :)

I love sundial of the infinite! I like pairing it with certain powerful extra turn effects that lose you the game like final fortune, last chance, glorious end and chance for glory. add in some creatures like phyrexian dreadnought, eater of days and hunted horror with some redundant torpor orb and angels grace effects... so fun!

Woah, LVD made an EDH video AND he made a deck with a commander I also use?! I accidently made my deck extra greasy unintentionally because it loops with kogla, agadeems awakening, and eternal witness/timeless witness. I also went with jamming in most of the high cmc cascade creatures so you can blitz on the cheap and cascade for a high cmc! V A L U E

I'd certainly like to see more videos like this! Do you think there's any chance of seeing commander gameplay someday? Maybe not even on this channel, but even going on one of the many already running shows for a game or two? Also, what about more MDFCs? The Mythics especially, as Agadeem's and Turntimber both synergize well with the gameplan, and Shatterskull works well with all the ramp. Also Bala Ged Recovery to get back a creature and blitz it all over again.
@LegenVD2 жыл бұрын
Can definitely play around with the utility lands, Castle Garenbrig is also on the shortlist. I prefer Agadeems in decks with a lower curve generally.

@paulhedges46252 жыл бұрын
A friend of mine recommended this video to me since one of my favourite decks I've ever made is Henzie. I loved your video; our decks have different strategies and the cards we didn't overlap made me think quite a bit. Illharg, Kogla, and Archon are all creatures I hand't considered before. Just of the sake of mentioning differences, my Henzie deck's goal is to blitz as many creatures as possible per turn. I run about 40 creatures, 40 lands, and the rest is just removal and other utility. My main method of winning is though extra combat creatures such as Port Razer, Karlach, Scourge of the Throne. Again, loved this! I'm subscribing today :)

I appreciate the english overlay on the non-translated cards! It was seamless and I didn't notice until halfway through the video. If I were to suggest one thing, it would be to place high-quality card scan overlays over each card as they are zoomed into, to maximize readability. Otherwise, this was presented cleanly and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks LVD!
@LegenVD2 жыл бұрын
Considered doing that, but would've taken me half a day just to do the overlays. At that point I would just not bother with the paper cards, although then it would lose a little bit of the charm.

nice list. Theres some cards that can be updated in this deck and are must adds. -Ziatora, the incinerator -Riveteers ascendancy -Ojer Kaslem, deepest growth -Vaultborn Tyrant. Secondly, not having Skull Clamp is a mistake. for 1 mana, you are drawing 3 cards from the blitzed creature dying instead of 1.

I'm torn. I love seeing my favorite creators branch out and try making different or innovative content and this definitely sits comfortably in that category. But I'm leaning on the non-paper side of magic more and more lately, not necessarily because price is prohibitive( though it can be ). But because I have to worry about storing and protecting and carrying(and even losing track) those cards. Not the worst if you think you only need 1 copy of anything. But what if I have a commander that I also want in the 99 of a few other decks. Owning multiple staples so I don't have to worry about deconstructing one or more decks so I can form another is just slightly too much on the cumbersome side for me.
@dacukinibblah33172 жыл бұрын
Love this, although I'm sure the cost of continuous production would be WAY higher than online magic. Also I think a lot of players see the channel from playing the game, so they might connect a little less. Still very cool though. Very rare to see a magic arena video that isn't just deck tech - matches - commentary. Very creative.
@bombarded152 жыл бұрын
Love the paper magic content! This was a really engaging way to present a deck, great work! Can any LvD fans point me to other paper channels they like? Cardmarket does great standard and mordern, but that's all I've found before the algorithm drowns me in Post Malone and Tolarian Academy :S
