It's been 2 months since this video dropped. I remember first watching then wanting to build Ramos for casual commander. I had so much fun with this guy that I kept buying more and more cards for him. Now Ramos is holding his own and performing good at the cEDH nights in town and winning money. It's genuinely my favourite commander, and this video is to thank for the introduction.

This deck is amazing! I'm having an absolute blast playing this. There are so many answers to so many situations and most of my games have been very good quality. It's definitely led to some really intense back and forths. Definitely recommend crafting this if you are on the fence about spending your wildcards.

Finally built this deck after 2 months of stockpiling wildcards, added Atraxa, Glissa, and the new Sword as well as the new fast dual lands from ONE. Most fun I’ve had in brawl, have an answer to basically anything the opponent can do somewhere in the deck.

Any deck with that many multi color cards NEEDS Widespread Thieving. Color fixing, ramp AND a free spell that could be a bomb. Widespread Thieving has made me a big believer.

hey legenVD Im new to the game about three weeks brand new player of magic and ive saved up quite a bit of wildcards and trying to figure out what meta deck i should build to play ranked with. Im plat with the mono red and i was thinking of building the dimir draw two deck you created. Would you still say thats a viable deck i should go for?

Soldiers is the best performing archetype in best of one at the moment. Plenty of variants exist, but Shield of Argive turned out to be good enough to include.

I get that you could build Ramos in many different ways and therr is a possible way to focus more on "+1/+1" part and use other methods that gave +1/+1 counters and this deck is not about it. But... Is it still a bad idea to include Hardened Scales? For just a one G (and a card, ofc) you then get +1 counters from every cast, speeding up the process of accumulating counters. Vorinclex from Kaldheim is probably too heavy... But maybe? Double counters are neat and you could lock up enemy sagas and damage their planeswalkers (and buffing a couple of yours Bolases). So IDK... Are you tried to fit HS there or for some reason you just cut it off just because it mono-color (or couldn't find a slot for it?)

I’m more confused by the variety of decks you run into. I okay historic brawl and legit run into the same like 3-4ish decks all the time. Every deck you played in the video I’ve never seen anyone run. Wish I had tan into that sort of variety. It gets dull with people running the same Dimir/Control BS or Whatever other control decks people wanna run.

Bear in mind LVD only shows us the interesting / KZbin-worthy matches. In other words, LVD suffers through those boring matchups so *we* don't have to watch them.

It is based on who your commander is for arena, they have a system in place that sets certain powerful commanders to queue only with the powerful commanders. Which is stupid because I would like to see all decks that are in queue. Quit hand holding and let’s play real magic WOTC.

They have to fix them for Historic Brawl, although outside of replacing some other Basic lands they're mostly nice for players wanting to play a colorless commander without spending a lot of wildcards on random lands and still get the most out of Forsaken Monument.

Not ideal but i had some fun with Historic Brawl Golos and artifact(creature)s. Wastes kept on alternating between 2-3 and 38-39 frustrating to complete the deck when it switches between 62 and 101. Somehow worked after saving deck once and adjusting to 40 wastes in the saved non viable deck.

I don't really understand escape into the wild in this deck because the probability is rather high, that you can cast only one of the exiled cards. What do I miss?

I definitely think the opponent in match 5 deserved to lose. He got overly greedy putting himself at 3 health against a deck with red spells and a 4/4 commander. there's a lot of ways that could go wrong and it did

To be fair, I have a fair bit of life gain in the deck, and in fact had a blood artist in hand that I was going to go off with the very next turn. Sadly, I didn't see a hasty flyer out of nowhere coming lol

@@cynicaljoe7588 I've played against this commander many times, and they run very little burn if any, so I took the gamble. I was also hoping to find more life gain by that point, but by time I found it, it was a little late. Sometimes it's worth taking the risk to keep the card advantage going.

@@cynicaljoe7588 Something else to consider is, against that deck, mine doesn't fair nearly as well in the late game, where he has loads of expensive spells, and my best bet is typically to try and get as much of an explosive start as I can. Had I been on the play, I might have still won that game

I love you LVD, but there's nothing I hate more in brawl than 5c commanders that are literally just a deck full of removal spells. Why can't 5c decks do literally anything else? At least Esika plays some bombs...

you’re playing a competitive commander. expect interaction and play around it or try a lower power level deck if you want to “do the thing”.

The deck has enough other things to do with its mana that it can easily win without Ramos. Sometimes you're happy if they focus on it, especially when you have a lot of ramp to recast it or play other big spells. Although when it survives you can get some spectacular turns, which is more entertaining to watch.
