Let's be realistic here about a wife's worth. She is an unpaid cook, cleaner, laundress, childminder, lover, storekeeper, pet carer, and sometimes gardener, . Add together what all of these roles would be paid outside the home and I think that women are worth more than they are given credit for. If he had had to pay for someone to do all of the jobs his wife did he would soon understand her value. Getting a dose of humility was no more than he deserved. Others mentioned the blonde lawyer and I, too noticed that anomaly. You can't have closure twice - the sister, who visited, and, later, the husband. Good story, apart from the tweaks needed.

So at first, the husband's lawyer was a beautiful female in the slick outfit. But now, through the core proceedings, all of a sudden, it became a male. You need to edit your story a bit better for accuracy.
