Lanka does not means fortress. It is sri lanka (a country at south of india). Its a long story how Hanuman burned down whole lanka in the Ramayan (a chapter in the Indian history). Its very common in India to draw that reference in order to destory an Empire.

The shrine you observe in the background are Lord Rama alone with his wife Godess Seetha and brother Lord Laxmana.. and the name of the characters are also Rama and Seeta.. so it like the gods are related even they are related in d same way..

It was a reference from Ramayana (the Hindu mythology or the sacred book of Hinduism). In Ramayana when Sita was captured/abducted by Ravana and taken to Lanka, Rama sent Hanuman with his ring to give it to Sita when Hanuman sees her, to tell her that he (Rama) hasn't forgotten about her and is on his way to her. Whereas in the movie here Bheem, (could be seen as Hanuman) who was sent by Sita to bring and save Ram (could be seen as Rama from Ramayana) from the prison, which was called Lanka by Bheem in the movie (again a reference to Ramayana - there in Ramayana it was Sita who was locked in Lanka, whereas it's Ram who's locked). The ring in Ramayana was given to Hanuman to show to it to Sita so that she could recognise him as someone who knows Shri Rama and be content that he's coming to save her. Whereas here Hanuman (Bheem) recognises Sita by that ring (locket or charm that both Ram and Sita are wearing) and takes Sita's locket to Ram to show him that he has met with her and knows everything about his reasons to do all that. Lanka = SriLanka There is a Hindu mythological story of how Hanuman(The monkey God) burned down the capital(I think) of Srilanka.. So, Bheem says even if I have burn down Lanka I will save you or something like that.
