I only started later in life it always seemed such a hard thing to get into. Go to a model shop lay down a grand on parts you didn't understand have and expert set it up and then get flying lessons. It's much easier now would love to have grown up around sab raws, lol.
@westhobbiesrc80518 ай бұрын
I started flying younger than my daughter. I was flying a GMP cricket and my grandpa would make my blades and parts when I crashed. No gyro, no computer radios. AM four channel and bouncing it all around the road till 8 figured it out. Times have definitely changed.

I had to spend a lot of time on the simulator until I could fly perfectly and purposefully... Then I went over to the real model. But one day at the field, one of swash servo channel went dead. Tried my best to keep it in the air and came down in some thick grass. Never flew again...

@chuckmaddison29248 ай бұрын
@turionb1408 Yes , I downloaded one last week. It has helped quite a lot. My plane doesn't have a rudder, it's all bank and yank . So its a fine line between aileron and elevator control getting around .

@@chuckmaddison2924 Don't fly at full throttle. Little mistakes turn into big ones real quick.
@chuckmaddison29248 ай бұрын
@lamarw7757 They do . The last flight wasn't too bad until the knob fell off the radio and left me only with throttle control. The plane is a Huntsman. There is a video on KZbin in which he installed a better radio and rudder. I assume the new radio also had stabilisation.

This is a good clip on why Safe mode builds confidence. Love it. All the folks who advocate "fly or die" and never us Safe mode just might have a relation with an RC retailer.... or own a hobby shop and love seeing novice pilots spend that money. Kudos to teaching them young.
@ricardopr548 ай бұрын
It's not her fault. Everyone who owns one of those ridiculously overpriced helicopters has crashed one, most likely because the helicopter malfunctions and abruptly crashes. Ask the RC Sailors... That brand is unreliable, and they should recall the aircraft... She did a great job!😁👍🏾 Thumbs-up for your video 👍🏾

Don't worry about the number of times you'll crash. Focus on all your successful flights and build upon those. How many times did you skin your knee while you were growing up? How many times did you fall while learning to ride your bike. Crashing is kind of like that. You'll soon be an awesome Heli Pilot. You already have an awesome instructor. :-) :-) :-)

Thank you I appreciate that, I told her don’t worry about crashing it’s just parts. This helicopter is extremely cheap to repair, so I am not worried about her destroying it. We can always rebuild. It’s part of the hobby, and every single person crashes at some point in time, especially when learning. 10 minutes after filming this video, she watched me crash my Oxy 5 so it made her feel a whole lot better lol.
