You guys skipped a bunch of movies and specials that could still be watched. You could watch the DBZ Kai abridged episodes which is supposed to be a shortened and filler-less version of DBZA, as DBZ Kai was to DBZ.

In the manga he does die, and technically speaking, that is in fact the original, so I guess he wasn't entirely wrong.

Fun fact, the song playing while Trunks and Bulma are chatting is Cat in the Cradle, a song that's supposedly all about a father who is too busy to spend time with his son, who grows up and goes to college. Which kinda reflects how Goku and Vegeta were not there for their respective sons in Trunks's timeline.

At the beginning of the series, when he met Bulma, Goku was about 11/12. At the end of it, he was 18. Then he's 23/24 at the beginning of DBZ.

Jiren is the final boss of Dragon Ball Super. He's also a pretty bland character (literally he's just a muscular strong dude, there's nothing to him and he has no personality)

Android never shot the old guy in the series. Dbz abridged add sound and cut away like 5secconds away from this scene. Trunks shoots a ki ball towards him he jumps back making the ki ball fly by just in front of the old guy his face just where the android was sitting. Android indeed wanted to shoot but trunks came just in time. The shooting sound should be a ki blast sound.

Not TFS’ fault because of the original animation but I really wish Trunks had kept his hair long when he went back to the future and I wish he went to kill 17 and 18 wearing his Saiyan armor I know I know, they wouldn’t have gotten that “wifebeater” joke in but still
