I bought an FZ09 in Nov of 2013. Had to make a few modifications to solve a few problems. It sounds like the 2017 model has improved those problems and others. It's a great bike. Now Jessica should join the FZ09 forum.

Wow, they upgraded the FZ09 just enough to make it perfect. Other than the turn signals I see nothing to change or upgrade. Buy it and ride it. I may have to buy a MT09 in 2 months. I was going for the MT07 but after seeing this vid Im sold! Thanks Snowcat 😉

I absolutely LOVED the 2017 FZ09. I fell in love in the first 4 seconds on the bike. The torque is addicting, the engine sound is orgasmic with an aftermarket exhaust, the excellent brakes are fantastic, and the power wheelies! The only thing i would change is the stock seat, it's not quite set up for someone as tall as me, i think it needs a wider seat with a better support in the rear. But i'm also 6'1 and i need the extra room lol

I also had the er6n before changing to the fz09. The fz is of course more fun but both bikes were great and the kawasaki was more forgiving and a better bike for a beginner. Jessica has to change the exhaust on the fz, it will be soooo much funnier after that :) Worth every penny! Congratz to a nice bike, Jessica!

Most people want an expensive and loud exhaust system, I on the other hand really like how quiet the bikes are (both fz10 and fz09), they do have a sweet sound when going at 60+ mph, just loud enough to be heard but not too loud where it becomes annoying. I guess to each his own.

theres a bunch of OEM parts you can get for the MT-09 that you can't get in america/canada, like the (stock in other countries) quickshifter, fog lights (to fix the horrendous headlight pattern that makes night riding dangerous), and LED blinkers/indicators.

Hard break in or their is no break in, period. Either way though, changing the oil out right away is more important to get rid of metal flakes in the engine. Don't wait for the "manual" to tell you when to do it.

What's your take on the FZ-09? Been getting the itch to swap out my uh.. around town touring bike (?) for something still more comfortable than a full on sport bike (would like to visit the in-laws more than 2 hours away), but more fun with better handling, etc. Started looking between the FZ-09 and Kawasaki's Z900 - I like that mix of naked bike but with a more relaxed, upright position. Any thoughts?

I live NJ in USA & ride a 2008 Yamaha FZ6, bought 3 years ago with 5,000 miles, now have 25,000 Good luck with new bike Jess, looks great. Love the vids of you two. I just started using a go-pro but don't know the 1st thing about posting , editing etc. for now my adventures are just for my own enjoyment of all the places I go. Jessica's bike is so quiet. Is it really that quiet or is it the recording. Your bike sounds much louder than hers. Maybe she needs a different, more beefy, exhaust kit to give it a little more "roar"? Helps cars to hear you.
