I was out Sunday as well . This was the 3 time my GF tried spearfishing. Parked the car walked about a 100m to have a look at the water. The water look great, calm and no waves. We walked back to the car, suited up, and walk back to the water. We never made into the water, we ended up setting on the shore, and look at 2 feet waves, thunder and lighting and rain crashing down. Never seen such change in the weather, in such a short time.

The only thing i through away are the dead men's fingers and the shell. To the juices of the head join breadcrumb to dry a little, onion, parsley, beer, but everthing sparsely to not lose the taste of the crab, mash with a fork and join little pieces of boiled egg. Kinda of can tuna paté, but better, much, much better. For this recipe your boiling techinique is needed, you don't want to open an hole in the crab and you don't want him with any kind of energy and releasing the legs when in contact with the boiling water, so all the juices remains inside the crab. If there isn't a long time to put him to sleep in the freezer, fill his mouth with vinegar, make him drink it, before going to the freezer

Oh man, I think you just infected me with spear fishing. I always loved to dive, but UK is quite harsh especially Scotland so I just ordered 5mm wetsuit and spear gun. It's quite an expense if you just start, only problem, my fins are just size for my feet, so they will probably fell off from cold after a while, I don't think I'll be able to ware any boots with them :( Next weekend going camping Isle of Mull, hopefully will have some success. Do you think, that diving from inflatable kayak is a good idea, I usually fish from it, rather than jump of it... I really do enjoy your videos, "How to's & Tutorials" are absolutely spot on, rigging, prepping band etc.
@DanielMann3 жыл бұрын
Kayaks can be a great way to get to places that are a little farther than you'd easily swim however when starting out shore diving is an easy way to learn one thing at a time. You don't tend to use boots as such for free diving fins but rather just neoprene socks. It's lovely up that way and plenty of shellfish if you get sick of shooting pollack.
@stanbarwik17113 жыл бұрын
@@DanielMann yeah that's how they call it on Decathlon web, I may try to put them on with some 3mm ones but if it's to tight I may get cramp in foot, it kept happening when I was using borrowed to wee fins. I usually dive near shore away from strong tides, you probably know this spot already, if not I do recommend Whitesands bay - St.Davids AMAZING place.
