If you've seen the movie Straight Outta Compton, the story of NWA and Eric Eazy-E Wright specifically, that's also a lot of back story leading up to Bone Thugs N Harmony. Eric signed them and got them started shortly before he died. That was a video clip taken of him from other media in the scene both going up the mountain, and his face in the sky when they were saying "see you at the crossroads so you wont be lonely". They were honoring their friend and giving props to the guy that gave them the first big break that put them on the scene back in the day. Very touching.

8:02 A lot of them did... The first version they made was called "Crossroads" and it's on the album. One of their homies called Wally died when they were coming up and they did that song for him. Before the album came out, more people died... Their Producer Eazy E (the one with the sunglasses and cap near the end) and other people close to them died. This version is called "Tha Crossroads" (sometimes you'll find the words Mo Thug Remix added) and it's dedicated to all of them.

I'll never forget the first time I heard Bone Thugs. I was mostly into country music and some metal. I found a CD on the ground next to my truck with just graphics and no words on it. It was their E. 1999 album. I was absolutely floored by what I was hearing. My favorite Bone song is Notorious Thugs w/ Biggie.

This was my favorite group growing up, I remember the cassette tape & continually rewindin just to hear this song over & over..Original song was for a friend(Wally) who died, many mistakenly thought mournful ode was only for Eazy-E, but it was really for all the Ppl they lost… favorite lyrics: “All a thug could do is cry, cry Why they kill my dog & man I miss my uncle charles y'all..”😆 for the longest I thought he was sayin “I miss my Uncle Jo Jo” too… Fun Fact they were only ppl in hiphop to do a track w/ Tupac & Biggie: Notorious Thugz & Thug Luv Thuggish Ruggish Bone Ghetto Cowboy 1st of tha Month Mo Murda Seriously under appreciated in hiphop..it seems whenever u mesh East & West Coast, u get Unique or Great in hiphop…Tupac born East went west, Bone Thugz from Cleveland went to L.A. met Eazy-E, Dre became huge fixture in hiphop after comin East expanding beats & findin Eminem.. Bizzy is saying "And I'm gonna miss everybody" The reason why the word "Everybody" sounds like he could be saying something else is bcz of his adlib placed here... If you listen closely you can here Bizzy saying "Long Gone" at the same time as "Body" in the word "Everybody" is being said which makes the "B" in body and "L" in Long overlap one another...When you listen with this in mind it will make perfect sense.. #Bonethugs4life
