Playing medieval tunes, or that genre, has been a favorite.I have an interest in that period of history. And the costume and background really makes the video and music that much better.

This will be a good use for my G Whistle, that I rarely ever use. The only thing is, it will not sound so good without that background music, but I’ll have to try to find out.

I post them on my patreon page when I make them myself. This is available to $5 (and upward) monthly patrons. For this one though I'm just playing along to the original tune on KZbin 😊 x

May I ask, how do you decide what tune whistle you'd use?
@CutiepieTinWhistle11 ай бұрын
Well, when I first started working out tunes by ear I didn't know anything about music theory, so it was trial and error. I know more about music theory now but I still use the same process mostly 🤣🤣 I just try and play the tune on a few whistles until I find one that it's easy to play on (without too many half holes, or pushing above or below the notes available on the whistle) and go from there. It helps to listen through and find the lowest note in the piece too. If you work out which notes are in the melody, you can determine the key by the number of shapes and flats in the piece, and sometimes you can determine the key by the end note of the melody - but I rarely use either of these techniques.

Is this considered a low G whistle or high G, if i may ask?

Is there note of this song? It's very complicated for me to read tabs (
@CutiepieTinWhistle11 ай бұрын
I don't have them, I worked out how to play the tune by ear. You can use the notes written underneath the tabs if you're playing on a D whistle though 😁
@Alex-hq7uo11 ай бұрын
@@CutiepieTinWhistle by ear - it's unbelivable for me. I need notes for remembering a song. I mean classic notes with duration. Anyway you are an exciting musician!)
