Nice to see Gabby ride Grey Finn for the last time, this horse moves really nicely and would be beautiful in the dressage arena, which sadly doesn't seem to be Gabby's direction. I think she would be very good at it and it would help her a lot.

Can you raise the height of the trough by putting it on concrete blocks? It would have to be high enough that she couldn't possibly jump in.

I had a family of squirrels freeze in a horse tank. It broke my heart😢 Afterwards I put two poles sticking out the ends and it never happened again. For tiny Ellie maybe a 2X4 with paw-pegs she could use like a ladder. I would ‘train’ her to get out of the big tank. Not sure a courageous Yorkie can be trained NOT to jump in big water tanks😊 My last dog was a Yorkie and he was a genius. I used to put him in a belly pack and take him horseback riding on my gaited Rocky Mountain horse Justice❤

That's a good idea, actually! Thank you! I will have to look into a way that won't be a danger to the horses, but I know it's not her last time jumping in that trough. I need to figure a way out. I would feel so bad for the squirrels too!

Genius Buddy: One afternoon while standing on the front porch Terry my husband pointed at our three well trained goats roaming free in the yard and said, “Go gittum Buddy!” Buddy took a flying leap off the porch and rounded up the goats. NOPE: He wasn’t trained to be a goat herder. He was a genius Yorkie:)):)):))

I can see such a change in Greyfin. Remember how we used to think he'd make a great show jumper? Well he still could do, but I do see a lot more hunter in him. Sigh... I really like them together, always did.

"Stop looking down child" had me cracking up. I used to say that to at least 1 student a day, along with "ride with your legs, not your reins" and "I'm sorry, is there a monster in every corner? No. Then please ride into them or you'll have to do a forfeit" 🤣🤣🤣 I do miss teaching sometimes. Love seeing Gabby on grey Finn. It's good to see her ride something not speedy. We know she's brilliant with the forward going ones but it's good to practice on different types.

He lives quite far! Idk if we will make it thst way before show season is over. I still think of that... when he asked what the dollar store was. There was no way for that pet psychic to know sophie had an obsession (and still does) with the dollar store. It always reminds me to be careful what I say when I'm talking in front of thr horses about them.

I know! Gabby only has eyes for chino though and there was no convincing her. Even now she is still comparing him to every horse she rides and telling us how Chino is better in some.way!

I know how much Gabby loves Chino but she may have to come to terms with the fact he may never be up for any strenuous activity again. You just can't chance constant relapses. Greyfin was perfect in so may ways for her and would have been able to take her well into the future.
