“Simply genetic” - “born with good gens”…. Yes and no, I was born with thick hair but unfortunately coarse type - they are rough, hard and frizzy. In my teenage era, I must go to hair salon every year to make it straight with chemical and ironing. After such a decade of bad treatment it used to be in real bad condition. I loved this vlog. You give so many essential tips. I agree with you. I sometimes use aloe vera on the hair and leave it for an hour before I wash it. I find that the hair feels better. I also avoid hair dryers and leave my hair to dry independently. My hair is curly and shoulder-length and I find that sleeping in a silk cap protects my hair during sleep.

I love the peace in your videos and your hair is gorgeous. I will try these things. Could you maybe show the braids slower? They’re so pretty but not was hard to see the details. I’ve also always wanted to kennel to do loose buns and wonder if you know how? One day I hope to live a life like yours with my own family and home and garden.

when i was growing up in the Philippines, my mom used to put fresh cococnut oil on my hair.i have a wonderful thick and black hair, but when i came here in Switzerland in the 80s i started bleaching my hair and my hair was destroyed from all the chemicals that i used..but i started to make a hot oil 2x a week, my hair is became healthy again but is not thick like it used to be im turning 58 this yr. my children hair is so thick dark brown shiny hair. Btw i love watching your video as if im with you in stress-free fairy land...

Your previous video made me dive into DIYing world. First made soap, then lotions, hair conditioners, balms and even mineral makeup!!! I bought books about soap making and makeup, they were all helpful 😍. I'll never go back to commercial products. Using actuall soap on my hair made it disgusting and difficult to manage, unless I use ACV rinse afterwards, so I switched to making reall shampoo bars using natural surfactants that have lower PH levels, I don't even need ACV rinse, but I prefer to use it anyway. I've always suffered from hair loss and acne, but after fixing my irregular period and switching to handmade skin and hair care, everything started to improve 😍 I'm soo happy. I've never used Olive oil on my hair, because I heard it is a heavy oil, but it seems interesting here☺ I also find that oiling my scalp every time I wash my hair causes hair loss for me, so using it once a month is a good idea. I found that blow drying my hair makes it better!! Yes better! Because I have curly hair dry detangling causes more breakage, blow drying help make detangling MUCH easier and it extend my hair washes, my scalp smells better longer☺ of course I do it less often and use high quality (products , blow dryer) I'm interested now to try scalp scrub, it a new technique for me☺ I love your video 💚💚💚💚

Oiling too often is also not so good. For me 1-2 times per month works wonder. You can also use jojoba/almond oil instead of olive oil ☺️

Can I ask what you use in your soap? I tried making my own bars but they always left my hair with some kind of layer on them that looked gunky on my hairbrush. I would love to know how you solved this problem!

Word of caution to those with dandruff: any dermatologist will tell you that oils (specially olive oil) if food for the bacteria that causes dandruff. Just make sure you have that in mind, specially when using anything that will sit in the scalp for a while. 🙂
