The song that plays while Shyam is signing the NOC is the title track from Gol Maal (1979). It's a classic comedy film that came out at the cusp of the 70s. It's a masterclass in situational comedy. Numerous generations grew up on that film. The reason I like it a lot is the subtleness of the comedy. The film beautifully handles humour tying in directly with the characters in absurd situations. The comedy is also relatable and universal, not bound by the language barrier. You guys have to react to it at some point. It's an Iconic Film from an Iconic era. They really don't make them like that anymore.

Actually the meaning of these songs are yeah to express ourselves and there are some quotes in our literature , novels at least the area where I was born that when we love someone our heart is like singing and dancing , we feel like we are flying. In normal cases also when we feel happy we humming songs that's not means like these movies 😅. One thing is real is that celebration and weddings , ppl really do dances and sings.

Hera pheri is the remake of the 1989 Malayalam movie directed by the duo Siddiq and Lal, known for their comic movies. It was one of the best comic movies of Malayalam. There are plenty of such comedies by various Malayalam directors back in 80's and 90's, many of them remade into other languages with other actors. Priyadarshan just remade it to Hindi but it's nothing like the original. Infact most of the remade ones by him in Hindi is nothing compared to the original Malayalam version. Not all movies were directed by Priyadarshan. 'Bhoolbolayya' original Malayalam movie 'Manichitrathazhu' acted by Mohanlal, Shobhana( got best actress National award for the role) Suresh Gopi etc. was directed by Fazil. Priyadarshan made this horror thriller into a comedy in Hindi. Pls watch the original. Bollywood is nothing compared to Malayalam movies.

There are some really horrible movie recommendations in the comments. These guys are going for wayy too local and cringe movies. Some of the nonsense others recommended you really need to know the language to get the joke. Scrap the list you made with them and follow this and you'll not regret it. 1. 12th fail 2. 3 idiots 3. PK 4. Kashmir files 5. Kantara (kannada lang) 6. Bahubali (telugu lang) 7. Andhadun 8. Bhajrangi bhaijaan 9. Tumbbad This is the absolute best list of some of the best movies for a foreigner. Just trust me and do these movies in that order, you'll love them and also see your views grow. Cheers.

Thanks for sharing. Your list you sent is not far off from our current plan. We have Raabta and Garam Masala in editing right now but after that we plan to do Salaar, 12th fail, then 3 idiots.
