At some point during the group stage, T90 explained to the viewers how they should quit their jobs to watch Hidden Cup. After the finale Hera came in and told us how he was watching Hidden Cup I, decided to quit his job on the spot because of it, eventually went on to win Hiiden Cup IV and V years later and ultimately proved T90 right and I think thats hilarious. Congratz Hera!

I love that you made this video. I started playing AOE2 when it came out (and AOE prior), though I never dove into online play until recently. It's been less than a year that I stumbled upon you, Spirit of the Law, and T90. The energy that you, T90, and the rest of the "faces" of the game...well, the world needs more of it. I work in the A-V production sector and I'm lucky enough to be in a market that feels similar to this community. Competitive companies call one another when we need crew, musicians have a high respect for local engineers, and at the end of the day we all know we're all on the same team creating memorable experiences for others and ourselves. The ability to recognize and respect your adversaries is what leads to balance and a healthy system. The fact that you speak to the greats before and the greats that will be is very telling; please keep sharing your story along with those who share theirs with you!

The best part about Hera is not just that he wins, but in the way that Viper used to inspire him, he wants to inspire others and grow the scene. Even if people are hate watching his content, Hera is all about winning, but also about growing the game and helping others enjoy the competitive scene. In a couple of years, Hera will start facing players who got inspired by his "so you want to play Mayans" type videos, and you can bet that he'll be so proud of them.

I agree, he never tried to fake his personality, never stole good ideas and so on. He came up with his own while staying his true self, always trying hard, putting some new challenges on himself. Played AoE as a child 20 years ago, so total casual noob here; sick format this tournament, I was glued. Two things stand out to me. Forget the macro, the micro, the preparation witch was evident..how ready and aware you were: getting boars, scout with sheep, using land units against ships, attacking random villagers, trapping random scouts on the other side of the map, all at the same time, no idle time! Even from the observer point of view was mind blowing to see. Second, everyone roots for the underdog always, but I felt none was rooting against you; you get brought in for the interview and I understood why, a chill humble guy that just like the game and put on a show. Prove people that believe in you right rather then focusing on proving doubters wrong is the way to go. You guys have a great community. The highlight, after I finally started understanding the meta, the mechanics, the combo's, the value of units, was on Mudflow in the finals: two villagers forward to wall in Liereyy's lumber camp. I felt the disconfort of 50k+ people watching that unfold, that was disgusting, that was too good!

Become a Hera fan in past few years, the growth you have shown in character and bringing positivity to the community has been huge. Calling yourself out and acknowledging the comments you made in the qaulifier map pool vid shows the type of person you have become. Also understand the nature of KZbin you gotta get those views and stir up some conversation surrounding the tournament. All in all no big deal like you said. You went in with constructive criticism. Congrats on a huge win. Well deserved. The trolls were definitely out in large number, the toxicity of some viewers has been ridiculous. Looking at the effort that was put in by T90 and the team, for some people in the comments trying to spread hate about it is ridiculous. Maybe they should try host a tournament some day see how they do. Congrats again and keep dominating!

To everyone who's annoyed that Hera beats everybody: it's not about beating everyone else, it's about noone else being able to beat him. Support your favorite players and help them improve. I personally really like Sitaux and Vinchester and wish them gradually improving results. Don't worry, you're on the right track to become the legend in AoE2. People hated Michael Schumacher when he dominated Formula 1, but now he is seen as one of if not the GOAT, even by the fans of his rivals.

I still remember the time you struggled vs aggressive messy players. Seeing you go from my hipster pick to go deep into in tourneys to becoming the big bad that everyone has to beat has been inspiring. Feels like just yesterday you were checking the tech tree in a tourney finals. Keep doing you mate, you're hitting levels that are honestly inhuman (although now I feel obliged to root against you just to have some diversity in winners).

I don't understand how anyone can hate on this guy. He's elevated AoE2 to a whole new level and it's up to the rest to catch up. Keep it up, champ! (P.S.: This is coming from a huge DauT fan)

Mate, congrats, finally got to watch the finals after being away for the whole event and just catching up. Thoroughly enjoy HC and my partner loved Riley's history videos, and both watching the finals together. Their first HC and they demanded we watch the finals together. Barles played so well I thought it might be a Vinch, and i though Vasco el Rosco might have been Lierey (Ethiopians first pick, come on). But then you didnt fit anywhere else. You switched it on in Quarters and it was so enjoyable to watch. Like dave said, it was like watching an artist ❤ Highlight of the tournament was picking Gahja and Greg. Unfortunately watching late i dont have the receipts, but watching Gahja struggle vs Otto I felt like i knew it was ACCM. He was a chef cooking in Gordan Ramsay's kitchen churning out dish after dish of tasty games 👨‍🍳👌 Question, i know you talked a little about training the GL. How do you think it changed your approach to games and civ picks having their input, or did you still fall into your confort picks? GGS!

🎉 for winning the tournament. You made it look easy👌❤️❤️. You and Liereyy did a great job on this tournament. Let’s see if we learnt anything from the master in our performances on the hidden community cup.

I knew it was you lol. No tricks, just solid feudal age pressure with good eco behind. Converting it all into a comfortable lead for the rest of the game.
