Hera's teamplay with extreme AI has already substantially improved. He is almost there. Extreme AI has 2 major strats, feudal archer/skirm or fc. If it decides to go for fc (, which is 99% the case when it is in a pocket position), it ignores everything outside its own base. It ignores taunts from human players and also dying allies. It goes for the pop-limit by constantly producing vils, fully upgrades its power units (paladins, champions, elite eagles, or unique units). When it has around 30 power units and 1 or 2 castles in its base, it is finally satisfied and start spamming units. So extreme AI is useless until around 35 min, but if you can nurture it during its boom, it acts like 1100~1200 ELO players.

They aren't a one trick. I just got rushed by Extreme AI 1v1 with Malitia and Spears. I don't know the name of the map but it was the walkable water between us in a narrow strip with trees everywhere else. I guess since you reasonably can't wall very well, they were ok to rush. They backed off once I had a tower up.

Hindsight and all that but I was thinking early on when they weren't walling you should have setup a remote base in the other flanks town. He had mad gold left and AI can make a good meat shield and you can just support with ninja micro. Also, yes to chat in game. Although the AI extortion was chefs kiss. Honestly never seen that before.

You can taunt "54" (build a wall between the flared locations) to the AI and then X/flare the locations. If I remember right, they only want to build stone walls so they have to be in feudal and have sufficient stone (which often they dont have). 55 will build a wall all around at some predetermined radius, it's pretty pointless on bf if you ask me.

There are various tounts that give complete control over the ai - from what types of units to produce, to counter enemy, go for certain strategies, where to build bases and attack, to follow ur main forces, defend and build markets....the list goes on. No solution for the resource requests though 😂

The key mistake of Hera here is that he haven't defended his purple AI ally from the castle drop and the following annihilation. The key task, when playing together with the AIs, is defending their bases and letting them develop to 200 population, then they can show themselves to be useful.

Hera you got me back into Aoe, found some people to play with and am having a blast with custom team games. Messing around with custom civ builder and different mods. One hilarious idea we did was setting multiple people same colour so you can both control same team. Was such much fun, 2v2 with 8 players. Ahaha, could be a fun concept for future video. ❤ keep up the great vids

I think if you communicate more with the ai for better trade and what direction to attack, and then assist them a bit by walling their side, i really think you win this. Ai are really bad when they get pushed early or raided, but with a little help, their main push can be very strong.

The two extreme AIs would be so good for Hera if he just helped with the aggression. THey are really bad against early archer rushes or aggressive tower/castle drops. But if he helped them deal with that he would have had 2 whole players. 400 pop more and more ressource collection. That would be great. But Hera is Hera. He just sits and plays for himself, just like usual team games. He is just way too 1v1 brain-d. He does not think about helping others to strenghten the team. A sad weakness of him. If he make some scouts to defend the AI this could have gotten so much better. He literally said at the start that he has been told that the AI is best in lategame but weak in early game yet he does nothing to help. Amazing, classic Hera. We love you and your content, never change.

Yep and even until the end of the match not once has Hera ventured over there to help. Drop a defensive castle near the markets, make some walls. A little army of archers to deal with raids? Nah ofcourse not. No reaction, no prevention. Just complaints. Even though he knows all of this, still nothing. At what point is Hera to blame for not using his ressources wisely? Because that is what the AIs are, ressources. He could help them, prop them up and use them efficiently as two additional attackers or he could literally do nothing for them and have human players abuse their weaknesses leading to no advantage for him at all. Ofcourse Hera expects human level play from these two super outdated AIs. As usual, super deserved loss.

Your interactions with the AI throughout the game were really funny but calling them out for griefing after you resigned was hilarious and super relatable for anyone who's played against the extreme AI 1v1 and had the game go late. Even when they're a handful of vils away from being defeated and you're max pop, they'll go full BM and hide a TC in the corner somewhere to try and drag the game out.

Been practicing against Hard AI and I've seen it switch between knights and archer/skirm. I've been quite consistent in beating it's up times though! Should probably finish off the games but I step out at the 20 minute mark to go back and practice my dark->fuedal->castle rush.

There should be an AI that is optimized to just be a teammate. Does nothing but boom, build walls, patrol units along their walls, and sling resources to human teammates. Just having a direction where you could be confident you didn't need to worry about until imperial age could be enough even if they were useless on offense.

Idk, when Hera did the taunt to stop making more villagers, I kinda want to say they actually stopped. Pink had lots of time to remake stuff in the corner there and they never seemed to have any more villagers. But who knows? They get funky when they're half dead. I just know I would have been paranoid about that and checked for a taunt to 'make more villagers' or w/e.

I know it is a late comment, but maybe you can do a 1+2 v 5 where the +2 are actual players but they cannot make army, just defense and send you resources. They can only send resources after they are at least Castle Age.

There are actually commands to make the AI build walls in flared locations and also some to make them play specific strats. Not sure if there is one for FC boom, but there should be. Next time maybe look into the commands, so you can be their brain! Trash teammates though :(

When i played with AI i send them resources like every 2 min 2k wood 2k gold each at the end of the game i look and send in total 56k.

Team AI is the weirdest thing, 1v1 AI acts like a pro player(after cheating in resources) such as perfect build order, micro, macro, laming, etc. For some reason on teams, it plays as if its 1v1 but also begging for res the entire game. FYI it also seems to heavily float res in team games, so not entirely worth slinging them since theyll have 1000 floating wood and still ask for more. Its calculating that in 10 minutes that 1000 should be gone and it will need more but doesnt factor in having lumberers Again this is team games, not 1v1 Ive noticed having 1 AI works better than having 2+ in most situations, although you may also get "Alas, X player is too strong, i shall abdicate" after being attacked once so, lucky that didnt happen
