Geez I miss these guys...for anyone else who thinks this should become part of the Tradition... Twas on the conventionally powered ship Venus my God you should have seen us the figurehead wasn't made of lead and wasn't shaped like anything in particular The Captain's name was Tucker He was a very concerned individual he made a stand against nuclear arms & we respect him enormously The Cabin Boy was Nastard He was consistent in formal argument His chances of success in Australian politics are estimated as minimal The First Mate he was Swugger He was a recognised expert on interest rates His case against the entry of the big foreign banks was compelling and greatly admired The Engineer was Nopper my God he had a difficult childhood His supportive wife and caring family made him very good company in the workplace (Portsmouth) The Ship's Doctor's name was Retiger he helped us on numerous occasions we couldn't speak too highly of him, he was one of nature's gentlemen The For'ard Hand was Snu-urd He had very little formal education his position on land rights and concern for the environment endeared him to everyone immediately The Ship's Dog's name was Big Balls though no-one was sure why he was called that there was nothing remarkable about the size of his knackers & the name was gratuitous and offensive The Bosun came from Titless he had a very charming weekender he collected species of different dated shrubs and had an enormous patch of basil The Cabin boy was Brandy he was something of an under achiever But no-one cared 'cos he had a nice smile & his mother was on the widow's pension The Captain was a very Reverend Fa-a-art he doubled as the crew's Scoutmaster he made enormous personal sacrifices for political refugees and was a tower of strength in a community singing situatio-o-o-on ...Aaaaah Ship" ...genius indeed...
